    Business response

    07/26/2023

    Dear Sir or Madam,

Mr. *********************** worked for ** as an owner-operator as you can see from his work contract attached to this response. He signed the contract agreeing for 2500$ escrow that protects us from his liability to be charged from him. He also asked to rent a reefer trailer from us, a 2023 CIMC Reefer Unit# R187. We have conducted an inspection on the trailer before Mr. ************ took it and he signed on the starting condition of the trailer which was excellent.

During Mr. ************'s use of this trailer he did not take care of the unit, didn't do PTI and didn't check tires. All these factors lead to the damages and negative changes in the condition of that trailer. When Mr. ************ returned this vehicle back to our possession the status of the trailer was assessed by our mechanics and determined to be above normal wear and tear. You can see that Mr. ****************** agreed on that because he signed under the trailer inspection return section. We provide you with his DL to compare signatures for authenticity. Our local shop estimated the damages and repaired the vehicle. The invoice from the shop is attached. I was addressed to Mr. ************ to be covered but he already stopped working at the company and refused to pay. Per contract we used escrow funds to cover the damages and returned the rest of it to Mr. ****************** which he confirms with his statement picture from his complaint.

We are very upset that Mr. ****************** didn't have a good experience with our company, though we are not at fault of that. We gave Mr. ************ a good opportunity to move forward with our company and work using our equipment. It is only our right to repair our equipment if it was damaged and broken, and since it was leased to Mr. ************ and under his authority when the damage occurred it is only fair that he pays for the repairs.

We hope that our evidences are sufficient to remove Mr. ************ 's comment from our profile. We wish Mr. ************ all the best in his future endeavors and hope he finds a more suitable place of work.
