I will start by stating that the front desk manager was nice and professional.When we arrived to the hotel to check in, the front desk agent informed us that the system was down and could not locate my reservation. After waiting the system for some time, the agent decided to complete a paper check in packet and made a copy of my husbands ID and credit card to process once the system became available. I showed the agent my reservation confirmation that was booked directly on the ******** website. He then left the front desk to go see which rooms were clean to assign one to us. (If I called at 7:53pm about our late arrival, why wasnt the room prepared in advance). After he returned to the counter, he assigned us a room and informed us that the room may cold since he had just turned on the heater and may not be spotless but he would have housekeeping come Thursday. During this process and based on my confirmation email, he confirmed our payment total for the week ($861.56) and informed us of the additional $50 incidental fee that would be returned after check out. However, that is not the entire truth. After noticing and inquiring that additional authorizations were appearing on our credit card each day, the hotel management explained that the system they use not only holds the incidental fee and the total cost of your stay but it also holds the nightly rate of each night of your stay. My family was on a week long vacation. And while these amounts outside of the total may be returned to my account, these authorizations hinders access to those funds. Authorizations that werent authorized might I add.Cleanliness was a concern. We requested housekeeping for 4 consecutive days but they never came. On the 4th day, we ended up checking out of this hotel
