Terrible company. They are disorganized unless it comes to charging unnecessary fees, and worse than that they lie about a lot of things. I will not go into specifics in order to protect my identity, but do not work with them under any circumstances.Review from Brandon F

Terribly ran. Doesn't not pay attention. I called to talk to *****. I explained my issues with charges... She replied "O yeah that place wasn't ready was it.." I agreed but said we needed to move in Asap.After we moved out I spoke with the office and told them to let me know if anything needs taken care of. I spoke with ***** about the issues again, she said let's have a meeting.***** had a funeral to go to and said she would contact me when she got back. This was after I went to the office for the meeting.That never happened.**** to the office twice after.All of a sudden I get a notice that I owe and I'm not getting my deposit.All the reviews here are very accurate.Never heard anything good about Open Door. Beware. You will not be happy. I know I was not!Review from Nikki J

Let me just start by saying PLEASE.. PLEASE PLEASE DO YOUR HOMEWORK/RESEARCH before choosing this company to do ANY kind of business with them. I would NOT recommend doing ANY type of ties with Open Door Rental whether that be Renting or contacting business with them. A very unprofessional, dishonest, unethical business being ran. We as renters had the worst experience with them, from being charged for things suddenly. Do not expect your deposit back. You will be charged for literally about anything they can possibly charge you for.Review from Mackenzie D

my husband and I have had nothing but an awful experience with this company . Dont expect any of your deposit back. We got it professionally cleaned per the lease prior to moving out and got charged for professionally cleaning the carpets even after we provided the receipts and a statement from the cleaner. They will find anything to charge you and are extremely unprofessional. I would not recommend ever doing business with this company.

This place is a money-hungry, greedy inconsiderate business that does not care about the community or the people trying to survive in it. They want a non refundable application of 50 for each tenant so if you are married thats $100 plus $250 non refundable pet fee and Im a dog lover we have 4 another $1000 plus $25 per month per pet which is 100-that is understandable. So lets see $**** plus deposit first and last months rent. The place I was interested in was 725. 725x3 +****. Just to apply and move in IF (you better have a squeaky clean background, a great credit score and perfect rental history) you are approved $3275 BUT if you are denied-sorry you just lost ****. Explains how the *** recently became a billionaire with only 6% shares of the company. If you have the 3K better off buying property-doesnt cost anything to apply for a mortgage and you can have more than 2 heartbeats per bedroomOpen Door Rentals & Real Estate Inc. Response

Open Door Rentals is not associated with Opendoor franchise. I believe you are misunderstanding whom you are speaking about. Open Door Rentals does have a application fee per adult of $50. The additional fees you discussed in your review potentially have been misunderstood by you. If your application would be denied- you are only out your application fee all other fee are collected upon lease signing. This company is an absolute scam. They bought the property that I was renting an apartment at and completely chased all of the old tenets out because they raised the rent nearly $500. The unit is a one bedroom/one bathroom apartment with a window unit for AC and an electric furnace for heat. In the ******* it would get as cold as 52 degrees in my apartment because the furnace was awful. At the time our rent was super cheap so we just got through it. Then they got ahold of the building and raised the rent. The area we lived had more lower income families on one side and upper level on the other side of the street. We lived on the side with more lower level income families. All they are doing and other companies are guilty of this too is gentrifying the downtown area and making it impossible for the poorer people to survive. They are responsible for really messing up my life and Im sure other peoples lives as well. I truly hope the business fails and the owners get whats coming to them.Open Door Rentals & Real Estate Inc. Response

I own the property next to the one that they manage and just had to move their garbage off my property so I could mow. I had to to tell their mowing service three times to stop mowing on my property because open door didnt even know where the property lines are and after the third time I pointed out that the property was posted no trespassing and my security system records everything and that I was only going to be nice a couple of times and then charge them with trespassing to get it to stop. Its obvious that they have no consideration for the people who live next to their poorly managingOpen Door Rentals & Real Estate Inc. Response

Take heed of every single one of the previous reviews! ****** ******** ********, and ****** are all condescending, demeaning, crass, and ineffective scum of the earth that lie! The company is out of ************. They do not have a local office. They do not abide by local laws either. And the one owner doesnt know her **** from the whole in the ground of what her pathetic employees are doing. Report safety concerns- they do nothing. Report their inability to add 1+9- they act like they are deer in headlights. Report maintenance- they wont respond for three days, if at all. And for all that is holy, please dont point out their mistakes cause then they will file an eviction on you. And read your lease, if you get a complete one. I received a BLANK lease that referenced bed bus. What is a bed bus? I have heard of bed bugs, but never heard of bed buses. I never did get clarification after seven attempts and more than six months. If you rent or get in business with them just know that you have been warned as they are absolutely deplorable!
