What a disappointment! We built a new home and hired him to landscape, grade and seed our yard. He charged us a substantial amount of money ($11,000) and did a terrible job. We reached out to him a few times with concern about the yard. He responded once that he would come back for additional money. He was not willing to stand behind his work. We paid a significant amount of money for the yard and it is no where worth what we paid. The one time he did respond he stated that we should have put down a layer of soil. That was his job- he should have suggested it and built that into the price/quote. He did not even attempt to remove rocks. Grass will never grow over rocks!

We were hired to landscape and final grade as well as seed the lawn. We ended up doing the landscaping as well as rough and final grading. We completely tilled the soil and graded so water runs away from the house. We seeded the front, sides, and rear of the house. We told them several times that the free basement dirt they were getting was not suitable for a lawn. If we did bid how much it would be to bring in 50 tri axles of topsoil at $40 per yard plus hauling, theres no way it would have been accepted. We picked up as many rocks as we could, we actually dumped 5 skid steer bucket loads of rock that was in the lawn to the back of the property next to the creek. Theres no way to pick up every single rock from the various contractors dumping rocks in the lawn. From the septic stone to the driveway #2 stones that ended up in the lawn from another contractor pushing it in the lawn with their dozer. In addition, all the free basement fill dirt they used to vill in the areas around the home was full of rocks which is vary common with fill dirt. We tried our absolute best to pick up as much trash and rock as possible but we could spend weeks picking them up. We actually spent an hour of our time picking up other contractors trash before rough grading around the property. Lastly, we did come back and completely re seed the entire front yard as well as sides. I mentioned if they wanted me to re seed the back but was told not too worry as they plan on putting a pool in the back. When we came back to re seed we did this free of charge. We did exactly what we were hired to do and more. Getting an established lawn takes at least 3 years. We continued to tell them that it takes time and the results arent expected overnight. We even choose a patented seed variety that will lateral spread and fill in on its own which again we have told them several times. We really dont know what more to do to make them happy and it seems like for them, nothing will make them happy.
