  Comprehensive Painting committed to paint the exterior of my home include ******************** wash, clear surface, apply cleaner with light brushing, scrape loose paint, caulks cracks/holes/gamps, spot prime), Exterior Siding/Trim Painting (basic labor, roll, brush, spray 2 coats of paint to siding and trim), and *********** Repairs (nail in loose siding). For these services I was quoted $7315.75 and paid a deposit of $2194.73 on 5/12/2024. The remainder of the payment, $5371.02 (including an additional $250 for nailing loose boards) was withdrawn without my permission on 6/19/2024 in error by ******* *****. Approximately 1/3 of the home was painted poorly by an inexperienced crew employed by Comprehensive Painting which resulted in damage to siding along with paint sprayed on the 8 month old shingles on the roof. At first, ******* ***** stated that he would have a roofing contractor offer a quote and would fix the damaged shingles. He assured me that the damage done to the siding would be taken care of after the paint job was finished sanding with soapstone. Upon firing the inexperienced crew, a second crew noted that a significant number of pieces of the wood shake siding were soft and would need to be replaced. It was stated that the remainder of the paint job could not take place until the siding was corrected. This left the house in a partial state of painted which it is still in today. After consulting with a separate contractor, I was able to hire someone to replace the siding, noting that it would likely take many weeks to complete this process. I asked that ******* ***** return the unauthorized payment from 6/19/2024 in the amount of $5371.02 in good faith. Once it was clear that the siding would not be complete by winter, I reached out to ******* ***** again and asked for a return of the funds along with a follow up on the process for fixing my damaged roof tiles. I have not received a response from Mr. ***** via email or text since 8/19/2024.
