Bought the car but said I wasn't paying a down payment I had ***** coming to me from trade in.they brought out paperwork never ran through numbers I thought nothing since I knew price of car. I never got my ***** so thought I'd check paper work that's when I saw they ran price on me up to ****** and used my ***** as down payment. No wonder they never showed me cost on papers I was signing I wouldn't have bought. They scammed me and sure there doing others there crooked. I have all papers to prove how they did me. I'd *** for my money but I'd never win since I was tricked into signing and didn't see the scam

************* was **** upside down..Sale Price was ***** plus the **** negative equity. Brings the sale price to 28461.   The **** was from his warranty and gap cancellations and he was informed that we would use that for the down payment on the new vehicle... The customer came in several times before signing and after.. He even came with his brother who cosigned at a different date.. He had plenty of opportunities to ask questions about the sales price. Please let me know if there is anything else that you need from me!

What they are saying is not true. I talked to salesman that was price of car. I have the photo of price of car. I was never told **** would go as down payment. I told salesman I wouldn't pay anything down. I was given price of car at ****** as states on picture. There trying to cover there lies. My brother signed and never went through paper work on price I was told ****** so never thought anything about it. You don't add money to price of car when given price already. Grote is thief. I'm just trying to save other people of getting cheated as I did there manager is a lier. I'd take a lie detector test. I was done wrong. You don't give someone a purchase price then **** it up **** and not tell them. They owe me the difference.

************** worked with us several days before signing any documents. We went over sale price, down payment, trade in value and monthly payments and ************** agreed to everything and then came back to sign the paperwork b/c he was on break. ************* and ************** (**************' brother) signed several documents that stated the price clearly. We go over all documents and if there is a question it is answered right then. ************* never called about a problem about the price. Attached is the Purchase Agreement that all parties signed. We have several documents also. Tell us why here...

I went to grote automotive in Elkhart almost 2 weeks ago, was the first person of the day and spent about 4 hours. Finally the sales man ****** told me no banks were approving me but one was on the line and would approve me for one vehicle only. Not that it was a certain amount just that only 1 vehicle is what I had to choose from. I drove it and liked it ok so I put the **** down for a down payment and traded in my very old van for 500. Then I was given my contract and the car but was never told how or where to pay, just how much and how frequent the payments were. Then 10 days later I receive a letter in the mail from the bank they said I had my loan through which was dated for the Day I got the car, that I wasnt approved for the loan after all. I tried calling grote for 2 full days and got one associate after another continuously transfer me to voicemails. I left a message with Jessi the sales man twice. I called the bank themselves and they verified that I did not have a loan with them. Finally I get ahold of ******** the finance lady. First she acts confused tells me maybe it the wrong bank or maybe Im pending. And then says shell call back. Hours later she says oh yeah the bank denied you were trying to get you another bank loan. Then the next day the car salesman Jessi calls me and acts like he just got told by the bank I wasnt excepted and again tells me theyre trying to secure another loan, asks if I can get a co signer and theyll call me back. I sent multiple emails and texts to both of them asking directly if I get my deposit and trade back. They told me the information was wrong on the application too thats why I wasnt approved. Theyve said I get those back and yesterday I was to bring my car back and I was 5 mins away when I get an email that they were closed from ********. I call jessi and he acts like he doesnt know who I am or that I was supposed to come in, tells me my cars not even there and to come back Monday. He was extremely rude.

************** was approved for an auto loan with a lender our dealership uses. Just like all loans you have to meet certain criteria before the lender will finalize. The paperwork was signed and turned into the bank for processing. This can take days and sometimes up to a week depending how the verification process goes. During the signing ************** signed a conditional delivery. This form states that the bank has the right to cancel the loan if the terms are not met. Upon employment verification the company she is employed with stated she was only a temporary worker. This automatically disqualified ************** from Qualifying for finalization of the loan. The loan was returned. ************** received notification of this a day before we did. Follow our standard procedures she was immediately given back her trade and cash down. This issue has been resolved and there is no validity to this complaint. Thank you.
