This customer has been extremely difficult to work with. The roof on this house was in very bad shape. We needed to replace much of the decking and actually made some improvements "Pro ***** as the customer didn't want to pay to do the job correctly. I ate the additional charge. There were some structural concerns, and agin the customer elected not to make any changes which resulted in a roofline, altough structurally sound, did not look like new constrauction. Its important to note that the Allen County Building Department did their inspection like all others roofs in the county. We pull the permit, niotify the building department when the project is complete, then an inspector will assess the project, and the roof roof passed inspection like every other roof we've ever installed.

The customer was very rude to memebers of our construction team, by yelling, screaming, cursing and even flashed a gun at our operations manager. The customer continued to complain about the installation, so I personally went to the property with my operations manager, and was told that my ops. mgr. coud not set foot on his property. I explained that he ran the project, so he would be the best resource to address any concerns. Soon after the customer began screaming at my manager and began to physivally chase him off of the propery. There were no issues with the installation of the roof and gutters, obviously supported by the building departments "PASSED" status of the project.

In summary, we were hired to do a job, arranged financing, executed the installation of the project professionally and completed the job on time, like always. This customer harrassed several of my workers and management team without justification and there was nothing we could do to satisfy this customer.

    Hi *****,

This is in response to the recent claim from **************************

A little history......********************** has contacted our office twice since the original installation. In both instances, we were told that he had "leaks". As with any claim, we responded quickly to assess a proceed accordingly. This was no different. On each occasion, his gutters were full of leaves. So full that water was overflowing. There was no issue with the roof. We asked *** if he's be interested in having us install new gutters, and he declined. This was the third time ********************** called with a concern. And again, we scheduled a time to meet with ********************** and made the drive to ********. The issue is with the roof structure. The roof is sinking. As you can see by the attached picture, the shingles are fine, however water is pooling up. This issue has nothing to do with the shingles or the installation of his roof. We can definitely make a repair, however with the roof "sinking" it is too flat for shingles. Per code, any roof with a 2/12 pitch or less is considered a flat roof and requires materials other than shingles. We offered to make the repair at our cost, however ********************** refused, and told us that this was our problem. Once again, the structure has settled and has nothing to do with defective materials or installation. Our offer stands, and we're happy to make the repair at our cost.
