They have always not refilled the engine with enough oil after an oil change. I have had to add more than 2 quarts of oil after paying for a *******************. This has happened several times and despite informing them about it, they keep doing the same thing. Very disappointed with their operation,Review from James W

PREDATORY LENDERS through their in house payment system. I thought I was purchasing a used vehicle from them. A 2013 **** E350 van for my family. They charged me ***** for the vehicle, even though it's on the internet for *****. I placed my deposit, got insurance and took and uber out to pick up the vehicle. While signing the paperwork (deep in the paperwork) I get to a page where it says I pay $***** for the van over 36 months then after the last payment when I'm all done. I have to pay an additional $4100 to buy the vehicle. WHAT?!?!. Yes, their LEASING me the vehicle. A 11 year old vehicle with ****** ON LEASE. Mind you the first 3 pages I signed said "AS IS NO WARRANTY". Upon learning about it being a lease I asked if I could do 1 year. The answer is Yes, but at $***** over 12 months instead of 36! They're PREDATORY, and taking advantage of people especially of you don't read you paperwork. They NEVER explained it was a lease. NEVER. I caught it and they didn't like that I questioned them on it and they said they were no longer felt comfortable and pulled the deal. They only pulled the deal because I questioned them, they had my money and insurance already. They were caught red handed and they knew it. Again, who leases an 11 year old vehicle, with ****** miles, no warranty on the vehicle and an additional $4100 payment at the end AFTER you've paid over market value over the last 36 months? Lol, then they made me uber back home! 40 minutes from the lot. BEWARE they will try to make it seem as if they're doing you a favor. This is why people hate car salesmen. I believe this isn't legal at all, no one I've spoken to has ever heard of this kind of "lease". They will get you if you're not vigilant. Please read your paperwork people.Review from Jennifer S

******** at *** Skillman is a very rude and unprofessional individual. And I truly hope they get rid of her. She lies and commits fraud on applications for loans she combines all sources of income knowing that the loan place wont accept self employment as part of loan. So she puts it all as your verifiable income through your employer. Then tells you to lie to the loan company. They try to pressure you into keeping a car that has issues that the loan company said they will let you out of the loan. They send over 4 individuals to try to convince you. Very bad customer service. IF YOU GET A VEHICLE FROM THEM MAKE SURE IT IS WHAT YOU WANT AND IF NOT WHEN THEY DO THE WELCOME CALL FROM THE LOAN COMPANY TELL THEM THE ISSUES AND THEY WILL STOP THE PAYMENT. DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE GET AWAY WITH WHAT THEY DO.THEY NEED STOPPED.Review from Lee A

Horrible customer service after the sale. Said they aligned and balance the wheels. I asked twice before my son bought it, who lives in *********. After being assured the service was performed, he purchased it and then I picked it up last Wednesday and drove it here to ***********. Alignment is off and the wheels are out of balance. They told me that they would not compensate me for the $140 I paid to get it fixed in ***********. I was not going to drive an hour and a half back over there the way it was driving. The sales manager said the service was done, so basically said s**** you. I sent a message to ******************** but received no response. Surprise!!! So I would not buy anything from any of the Ray Skillman dealerships and I would definitely not have any service done there because they will not stand behind their work.Review from J. E.

I purchased a 2018 Hyundai Elantra from Ray Skillman Ford/Hyundai. The paint began flacking off the car in very large pieces. I contacted the dealership. They said I was out of luck and it was not covered under warranty. I called Hyundai America and they said, it was covered. I opened a case and Ray Skillman Hyundai started the warranty process for me. The repair was approved. Ray Skillman body shop took the job because it was within the Skillman auto group. My car when in on March 6th. They performed the repair. I picked the car up on April 17th, 2023, 41 days later. At pickup, they charged me $500 saying that Hyundai did not pay them enough to do the repair. So they made me pay $500 for a FULL FACTORY WARRANTY covered repair. This is extremely bad business practice. I have purchased 3 vehicles there and brought 2 other customers there that have purchased 4 vehicles. Ray Skillman has now last all 3 customers over poor service after the sale. I have been attempting to get my $500 back through Hyundai, through ************ and through an attorney. While there are people I really like at Ray Skillman, their processes and business practices have ruined my experience.Ray Skillman Ford & Southside Hyundai and Genesis Response

The entire group was sold as people that work together when I purchased my vehicle. Just because different people in the same family own different parts of the business does not make the situation right. Apply pressure to the body shop in your name to get me a refund, then I will remove the comment. The "Package" of Ray Skillman auto group as a whole is what I thought I was getting when purchasing a car there. That clearly has been a disappointment.Review from Val K

From start to finish, my experience at Ray Skillman Ford of Greenwood was nothing short of outstanding. I had heard from many friends and family members about the amazing service they had received at this dealership, so I decided to make the 40-mile drive from my local Ray Skillman Ford to Greenwood. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by friendly staff members who went above and beyond to ensure that my lease return process was smooth and stress-free. ********************* and *********************** were particularly helpful, taking the time to answer all of my questions and addressing any concerns I had about the return process. What really stood out to me was how much the staff at Ray Skillman Ford of ********* understood and empathized with my needs as a customer. They worked hard to make sure that I was completely satisfied with the outcome of my lease return, and they went out of their way to ensure that the process was as convenient as possible for me.Overall, I cannot recommend Ray Skillman Ford of Greenwood highly enough. Their commitment to exceptional customer service, understanding, and superior support truly sets them apart from other dealerships. If you're looking for a dealership that truly cares about its customers and goes above and beyond to ensure their satisfaction, look no further than Ray Skillman Ford of Greenwood.Ray Skillman Ford & Southside Hyundai and Genesis Response

salesperson was friendly. finance person didn't give any paperwork that i signed except the extended warranty and that was in the sealed envelope. It was my understanding that all my paperwork was in the same sealed envelope. Someone from the dealership took my registration and warranties and other paperwork from my glovebox of my automobile that i was considering trading. (no deal had been made) I did receive part of the paperwork back in the mail that was taken after talking to two different people about it. Still have not received the remainder of paperwork taken or the new paperwork for the current automobile. Love my new automobile but, can't stand a thief. First time I have ever had this happen and I trade every couple of years.Review from Nathan D

Dropped car off Jan. 31st for software upgrade and servicing, got car back for the 4th or 5th time yesterday, Jul. 20th. I'll generalize; the master cylinder was replaced, but they failed to bleed the system, (no brakes, can't shift), poor communication, and the software upgrade made the car go into a safety mode, where you couldn't go over **** RPM's.Since my car was perfectly fine prior to bringing it for servicing and all remaining issues were the direct result of the software upgrade, everything below was done for free. Was told it was caused by a bad water pump that they apparently missed in their inspection and when they replaced the serpentine belt, which drives the water pump. That they emphasized was so bad it rattled, but yet missed it. They said it needed a new knock sensor, it needed a new bolt for the knock sensor. Then was told it needed a new engine, that Hyundai would pay for, was told this directly, then said it needed the cylinder walls cleaned??.Then I get my car and it seemed to be fine, I specifically asked about the engine, and was told again, the engine was under a lifetime warranty, even if I sold it to another person that they were covered.Car went into limp mode again, took it back in, car sat for a good two weeks before even being looked at, then sat in a back parking lot for a good 3 weeks, unlocked. Then I'm told it needs a new engine, Hyundai will NOT pay for it, it is NOT under any warranty and they can do nothing more to fix my car to stop it from going into safety mode. When I got my car back it, they had failed to reconnect the fuel regulator making the car almost undrivable, but missed this.To summarize, I wasn't looking for a new engine, I just wanted to be able to use my car. it's a 2013 with 175K, I understand it's old. I just want to be able to drive it without having to "reset" it. I just want people to act like they care. I am most angry that I was lied to.
