A GOAT Cleaning crew broke my landscape lighting by running their vehicle over it. The company owner refuses to pay for the broken light even though photos have been provided. The photos provided clearly show the light fixture before, during, and after the accident. We also have video footage. The incident occurred on Friday, September 22, 2023. The company owner was contacted the same day the incident occurred. Reimbursement in the amount of $45.00 was requested. The owner asked for photos and they were provided. However, to date the company owner still has not issued a refund or response to email messages. Several attempts have been made still to no response.

I was notified the same day that we performed the clean that the cleaners had ran over one of the landscape lights. I asked the owner to provide a photo she provided video image.

I then contacted the homeowner at the time I did not know how to make a refund on my credit card payment app so I told her that I would send a check for the amount of $45 that she requested for the landscaping light. I believe the service was on a Thursday or Friday and I asked her to give me until Monday mail delivery to receive payment. She agreed that she would do so.

I also had conversations with Cleaners show them the video of the landscaping light, and she replied that at the end of the day they would go to the house, deliver a cash payment to the door, or leave it available and take a picture of the cash if there wasnt an answer so that way I did not have to make a payment

Before the end of the day, my bank contacted me notified me. There was a dispute on the payment for the credit card. The homeowner disputed the entire charge of her service, holding up the payment and did not give me time to resolve the issue as we had already discussed.

At this point, I did not move forward with sending a check payment, and I instructed my Cleaners to not go to the location and leave a payment given that now the dispute had been made on the entire service for the amount of almost $400 I was unsure at that point if this was an attempt for some sort of a scam in an effort to get the service for free and try to receive an additional $45 payment from my service

I acted promptly courteously and efficiently in attempting to resolve this matter, trying to provide an above forward, reliable, dependable and honest service. I felt that this was a dishonest manner to move forward after we had already had a verbal agreement and an agreement in writing through email that I would be sending the check and that it would be received by the following beginning of the following business week, I am more than compensated that payment for the light and still had to pay my employees to complete that service that day. I lost a great deal over $45 light.
