I got a bunny on the 7th and he had been such a nice baby the whole time. There were no issues or anything but then he started to pee straight slime. We took him back to uncle bills because they said they would give him ANTIBIOTICS. They kept him over night and he was DEAD the next morning. I came into the store to get him and a lady named ***** showed me what she had given him and it was RIGHT ON THE ****** He could have been home and less afraid and not alone but they decided to keep him overnight for something we couldve done ourselves. Uncle bills sold me a SICK bunny, let me bond with it, took it back to take care of it, then ended up letting it die in their hands. Not only was this an issue but when I had went in ***** had decided to give me an attitude when I was clearly angry and upset. My bunny was not given antibiotics it was given something you can buy in the store. ***** is a liar and doesnt know how to take care of animals

We are very sorry to hear about your experience. Losing a pet is always difficult and you have our deepest sympathies. We agree that you should have been notified by our team upon learning about the loss of your rabbit. We will address these concerns and procedural events with our owning family and local management. Wet tail can be devastating to small animals and can be fatal within ***** hours. It is often caused be environmental stresses (larger pets perceived as predators, new environments), rough play (or too much excitement/handling), sudden change in diet/too much calcium in a diet, UTI,among a few other ways. If you took the rabbit home and it did not display the urinary issues described by A---, it most likely developed it after being brought home and not sold to you with Wet Tail (not that your family did anything incorrect, little stresses to us are big stresses to them). However,if this was something that was happening before you brought it home, our staff should have noticed before your purchase and quarantined the rabbit so the others were not exposed. Upon further inspections (after the arrival of your rabbit, and the following days) of our rabbits, we have not noticed any similar health concerns. Again, not that your family did anything wrong, sometimes the stress is simply a lot for the pet upon arriving at a new home/environment. As you noted, we did our best to rectify the health issues with the tools at our disposal. We have also refunded your purchase, which we understand is no consolation for your loss. Our team should be in continued communication with your family. If you have any further questions, comments or concerns, please reach out at: *************************************************************************************** and our team will be in contact.
