On 6/18/2024, a former employee of Hoosier Contractors LLC. came to my home and went on the roof and found hail damage. He was immediately ready to call my home owners insurance company to file a claim for damage to my roof/siding/gutters/downspouts. I agreed to call and open a claim, as there was damage to all listed items. Claim was filed, approved and was sent money from insurance for repairs to be done.7/17/2024 a different employee of Hoosier Contractors LLC. came to my home in order to pick out colors for shingles/gutters/downspouts etc. Was told that I would need to pay for the job up front once insurance money cleared in my bank account. I ended up paying for nearly half the job and this employee agreed that would be fine to get material ordered and I could pay the rest when project was started. I was also told that someone from Hoosier Contractors LLC. would contact me to schedule my repairs to be done. Check was cashed by Hoosier on 9/30/2024. Months go by, I attempted to reach out in various ways to every contact I had for the company. Some answered, but their response was that they'd get ahold of me in a week to schedule. Then the communication stopped altogether around October-November of 2024. Was unable to get anyone to answer any number associated with the business.I have since filed a complaint with the ************************. Will file with small claims within the next month to have documentation against ****** ***** and Hoosier Contractors LLC. I do hope to get a full refund of the amount paid and cashed by the business.Initial Complaint

Hoosier contractors installed a new roof on our home in October 2023. The roof install came with a 5 year workmanship warranty. We have had issues with shingles coming off our roof and have been trying to contact the company for a month to have someone come out and resolve the issue. No one will return any calls or respond to us. We have reached out to a former employee who sold us on the company who said he's unable to contact anyone either and that everyone is having the same issue.Initial Complaint

I signed a contract with this company to replace my house roof and garage roof and gutters. The reason I went with this company was because they had an A+ BBB rating and they would work with my insurance company to get the multiple supplements covered that were missed when my insurance adjuster took photos. I signed my contract in July with promises that my roofs would be completed soon since they are both leaking due to hail damage I received. An employee came and took pictures prior to the contract then more pictures were taken and colors were chosen when we signed the contract. They were in contact with me and my check for $15,675 was picked up from my Bank on Aug 12. After that I did not hear from anyone or receive any response to multiple emails for 6 weeks. I contacted the employee that I signed the contract with and he gave me contact information for the project manager. The project manager contacted me and was very apologetic and implied that the other employee I had been in contact with was no longer there. I was told that my point of contact would be the project manager. He stated they were running behind which I understood since everyone was behind due to the storm damage. I would contact the project manager every week or 2 and was assured on that my project would be pushed up since both of my roofs are leaking. I was promised it would be completed each month by a particular date and I am still waiting Dec 17 with roofs that are leaking. At this point I would not trust them to complete the job correctly. I have called and texted multiple people with no response and voicemail is full for all departments. I have sent multiple messages stating I want my money returned .I will now have more extensive water damage to deal with in my home and have to find another contractor. I have essentially provided this company with a free business loan for 5 months. I want my money returned immediatelyInitial Complaint

Hoosier Contractors solicited us on December 6th, 2023, I was talked into having them inspect my roof and submit a claim on our behalf to get our roof repaired I signed paperwork stating I couldn't use a different company if they were able to get the entire roof replaced through our insurance company. They worked with the insurance company to get the entire roof replaced by the insurance company. This was approved by our insurance company in April 2024. We met with their sales person ****** ***** on May 14th, ****************************************************************************************** the amount of $13,107.36 to Hoosier Contractors to get the process started on June 12th, 2024. I never should have done this, but they convinced me this was the standard practice when working with an insurance claim. We went back and forth on a few items to see what work we wanted done. We had to continually reach out to Hoosier Contractors to get any information from them. They never reached out to us with any updates. In October 2024, I reached out to them again to verify that we understood exactly what we wanted done with our roof and claim. Their production manager finally acknowledged that they received by money and that the roof would be completed within two weeks. This was on October 1st, 2024. I have been calling weekly and now daily many with no replies. I am afraid that I have been scammed, that this business is possibly going under. I have lost confidence in this company and am going to try and start the process of getting a refund so that I can get another qualified roofer to fix my damaged roof. I can't even get ahold of this company to request my money back.I am starting with this complaint here at the BBB. I am going to contact my insurance company for guidance and to hopefully keep anyone else at this insurance company from getting a claim settled with this contractor on the report and then file a police report with the Fort ***** Police.Initial Complaint

On 9/17/2024 we paid Hoosier Contractors LLC, $11,945.93 and signed a contract that the work would be completed within 45 days. Their phone number is ************. We were assured at that time that the work should be done in about two weeks. After no one showed we contacted them and were told again that it should be two weeks. The reason given was that they were behind. On Oct. 7th our insurance company started asking for verification that the roof had been replaced. We forwarded those emails to ****** *********, operations manager at Hoosier Contractors, and he responded back on Oct. 7th that they had received the $11,945.93 on 9/17/2024 and that they would again get us scheduled in the next two weeks. After not hearing from them, we emailed ****** again on Oct. 29th and received a response that day, that he was working as hard as he could to get us scheduled and we will be in touch soon about a confirmed install date. On November 4th after not hearing anything we contacted ****** again, and informed him that they were in violation of the 45 day completion date on the contract and that we wanted our money returned. Since then, we have not received any response via email or phone. No one at the company will answer their phone and now ******** cell number has been disconnected.Initial Complaint

We had a *** stop by and offer to take a look at our roof. He believed we had enough damage to qualify for a new roof. He was great to work with and actually came back while the insurance company was here looking at the roof. The insurance company cut us a check about a week or so later. The check was made out to us and then we wrote Hoosier Contractors a check for $21,146.73 on June 7th. I was told they were a little behind from all the storms in the area but someone would contact us soon to get us on the schedule. I had left at least 5 messages, and heard nothing until the end of August. I received a call from someone apologizing and blaming it on another employee who no longer worked there. He said they had not forgot us and not to worry. That it could be November or December but was hopeful it would be done sooner. My husband and I have left numerous messages and sent emails. We received a response last week from ******* ****** letting us know that no employee had been paid since October 25th and the owner **** ***** was not responding to anyone. At this point we want our money back so we can find someone else to get a roof on our home. Any suggestions would be appreciated.Initial Complaint

Hired Hoosier Contractors in May to replace roof, siding, and gutters after a hail storm. We made our selections and paid a down payment of $17,284.04 in June. We were told that our roof would be put on within a couple weeks. After not hearing anything, we contacted the business and were told due to weather it would be another 2 weeks. This went on a few times. Reached out again in August and was promised all work would be completed by the end of September. Finally asked for money back on 9/30. We were told that was fine and that we would be receiving our money back eventually, but it would take a while. Continued calling and most of the time no one answered or returned calls. Finally **** made contact with us and begged to allow them to complete the work and that it would be done by the end of November. We agreed, and had a date selected to have the roof replaced. That date came and went. Called for 2 weeks straight and finally went ahead and sent out a demand letter that was delivered 11/15 and signed for by *******. Continued calling and after another week finally got an answer from ****** who confirmed receiving the letter. Was promised the check would be mailed out the week of Thanksgiving. Still no check. Have been calling every day and leaving messages and no one will answer or return phone calls. Every day our mailbox is empty. We found that we are one of many people having this same issue. In fact, our neighbors who hired Hoosier Contractors are having an identical problem. We want our check back immediately.
