I was in a car accident on 08/25/23 and my car was towed to an impound by BP Final Notice Recovery. On that very same date, I was a three way call between BP Final Notice Recovery as well as State Farm, my car insurance provider and I verbally consented to the release of my vehicle to be towed to a collision center as asked by BP Final Notice Recovery. Over the weekend, I called and found out that my vehicle had not arrived at the collision center. I called again today on Monday 08/27/23 and it still had not been towed and so I called State Farm once again. Their notes showed that they attempted to retrieve the vehicle on 08/25/23, but that BP Final Notice Recovery said it was "too early." My State Farm rep then called BP Final Notice Recovery once again and they hung up on her, and when she called once again after that they did not even pick up the phone and so my State Farm rep left a detailed message. I strongly suspect that this business is holding my car for as long as possible in order to inflate the holding charges they can inflict upon whoever will pay them. I believe that this is immoral and is an act of preying on those with misfortune. I would like for my car to be released as soon as possible as the longer it is held the more likely it will be that State Farm will expect me to pay the extra charges for holding the vehicle.

My vehicle was recently impounded by the ************* police for theft. Bp final notice recovery was the wrecker service that conducted the impound. After contacting the ******************** they stated that my vehicle was at bp final notice recovery impound lot and to contact them for picking up the vehicle. After searching the web we found their website, the only way to get in touch with them is via email. After emailing them to find out how much the fees were and address and times to pick up our vehicle the finally emailed back on Friday at 5:30 and stated they closed at 6:00 and would not reopen until Monday at 8:00 and that we would have to pay storage fees for those days they were closed. We went to their lot on Monday morning to find out it would coast ****** to get our vehicle released. ****** was for the tow,200 was for storage fees,75.00 for admin,35 for special equipment which we have no idea what special equipment was needed since I watched them drive it up on the tow truck. I contacted the ******* state police to find out if they were allowed to charge so much for the impound and if they were allowed to charge daily storage fees for the days they were closed and we wasn't allowed to get our vehicle back. The ******* state police stated they was only allowed to charge a maximum fee of 150 for the tow and ***** a day storage fees and could not charge for the days they were closed which they did. The ******* state police said that was the contract agreement they had with bp final notice recovery. After learning this I emailed bp final notice recovery via email to seek explanation of the over charges and have yet to get any type of response back. They are illegally over charging people for their contracted services they have with the state and are very unprofessional in talking with customers. They are not prompt in responding to customers on them getting their vehicle back and make it extremely hard to even get in contact with them initially.
