Date of transaction was on 03/04/2024 I paid half of the total price for Nyes to build me a "434 cubic inch small block *********** pump gas 615 horse power engine" It was promised to me to be shipped on or before 05/31/2024.I have called *** ******** many times for updates on the progress of the engine assembly. He always had an excuse why it wasn't completed. I emailed him with no reply back. On 09/11/2024 I sent 2 demand letters to find a resolution which *** and his brother **** received and did not reply back. I have attached phone and email dates and results and a copy of the credit card transaction. I am a 100% permanent and total disabled veteran with limited income. Please help me get the 7300 dollars back. Thank you.

On March 17th of 2023 we gave this company a $9,500 down payment on a racing engine that they were to build for us. To date, we have no engine and no money. We have records of all of the back and forth (weeks with no communication, "we're waiting on parts," equipment failure excuses, no response to update requests, etc.) Finally, after a year of the excuses and lies (we found out that the owner's most recent excuse about rocker arm fitment issues was a lie after contacting the manufacturer) the owner agreed with us to cancel the engine build. He said that he would refund our money. That was May, this is October and still nothing. We even offered a payment plan to them to allow them to repay us over a 10-month period, as we feared due to the lack of communication that the company did not have the money to pay us back all at once. And still nothing, not even a response. This brings up the ethical question of where our money ***** I mentioned earlier, we have all the documentation, including the owner (***) saying to us in an email that he would refund our money. Unfortunately, that was 5 months ago, and as I earlier stated we have received nothing. We have filed a complaint with State of Indiana Attorney General, as we know at least one other customer has, but to date it has been over 45 days and the company has not responded to the state attorney general's request for mediation. The documents attached include:The payment receipt for the $9500 down payment The estimate for the engine build, showing the $9500 down payment applied The email where we first expressed concern about how much longer the engine build was taking than the estimated time given The email exchange that happened after the phone call where the owner *** confirmed to ***** that the build was almost complete The email with the lie that the owner told us about the rocker arm fitment issue The email with the agreement to discontinue the engine build and refund our down payment

I bought a cylinder head off of Nyes for $2000. After putting only 900 miles on the truck, the cylinder head failed causing my motor to blow. I informed **** of the problem and they said they would take care of it. The motor blew in March of 2022 and as of August 17th 2022 the problem is still not fixed. The have gave me multiple excuses(lack of help, cant get parts, parts were not right) I went to ************ myself and bought the part(that they said they could not get for 5 months) and that was supposed to be the only thing they needed to fix the issue and a month later they still have not fixed it.

Dropped an engine and parts off to machine shop to have some work done. I was told it would be a 3-4 week turn around. I didn't get my engine back till over a year and 2 months. I also had a list of things I wanted done specifically and was assure they would be done. Once I finally got my engine back none of the things we had talked about were completed. Engine has the wrong head gaskets, wrong bearings, wrong timing chain set, and a keyway was not cut into the crank. Due to so much being wrong I don't trust anything that was performed, so it is going to another shop to be reworked.

    Customer response

    02/24/2022

This is the receipt that they gave me when I picked the engine up. It does not have all the notes on it that they took down when I dropped the engine off. But to be clear the engine was supposed to have keyway cut in the crank, MLS head gaskets, double roll timing chain and high quality bearings. The heads were also supposed to be decked but I am assuming they have graphite gaskets on there because they didn't deck the heads. When I got the engine back it didn't have any of that done. It looks like it was just thrown together with parts they had laying around. Not to mention the intake and exhaust sealing surfaces look like they were ground off and can catch my nail on some of the ridges.

They had this engine for over a year and 2 months. I was quoted 4 weeks to get the engine back when I dropped it off.
