I am writing this on behalf of my dad *******. My name is ********. I signed him up for the new mover deal for 26 weeks of 7 day delivery and paid $58.99 on 3/6/23.I am attaching a picture of the deal we selected. There were 2 options, the one we chose is circled in red and the price listed matches the amount we paid. A 2nd picture is included from his times account which reflects the same amount as being paid. So the offer amount and paid amount match. I have tried on multiple occasions to get this solved and keep getting told I signed up for only 13 weeks which is no true. I have offered to email these pictures to the customer service reps each time and was told no we don't do that. A week and a half ago I was told they were escalating my problem and someone would call back. Nobody did so I called today again. Now I am told they will escalate a follow up call for the 1st escalation. And, when I asked how long would it take for a call back I was told they cannot give an answer for that. I told him I feel like they are scamming and doing a bait and switch and again remindedhim how nobody wants me to send proof e ery time I offer it. I also said an escalation should have been resolved before a week and a half and was told oh do you have experience working in customer service. I then told the rep I was going to file a complaint with the BBB and he said ok.

I signed up online for a recurring monthly subscription to the web edition. But they make it impossible to cancel, delete payment information, or any other way to stop them taking money every month. Their website has NO OPTION to cancel. The only option is "Please *********************** It doesn't even give you the number to call. Once you find the customer service number, no one answers. You're just on permanent hold. If you leave a call back number, no one ever calls you back. I know newspapers are starving for money, but this is crookeder than a **** site.

I signed up for their digital newspaper for $2.99 a month. Over the last week I have seen that amount appear on my bank statement at least 6 times. I finally found someone to talk to who claims I signed up for the paper delivery at $189 a year and then canceled it a Month later. No they have a very clunky website that freezes up. I ended up making contact with them directly. They took my information and from what I gather accidently signed me up for the paper and then deleted it a month later. Bottom line is that didn't agree to the paper. Not a note was sent saying that I owed 20 or so dollars that they are now taking out of my account $2.99 at a time. I only agreed to once a month for digital delivery. I told them they are not authorized to take it out multiple times to correct their error and if they felt I owed it they should have contacted me ... not go behind my back and try to sneak it on to my card till they feal the **** is satisfied. I want the multiple charges reversed.
