    I seldom write reviews but my recent experience with A+ Derr Heating and Cooling compelled me to share it on this site. For weeks in the middle of summer, I had a problem with my air-conditioning system that nobody could diagnose or fix. A friend of mine from Evansville suggested that I should try this company because of its excellent reputation. And she was absolutely right. An instant response to my service request, a highly professional and knowledgeable diagnosis of the problem, and a timely and efficient repair of damaged parts and the installation of a new system are just a few examples of my positive experience. Exemplary work ethic and customer service characterized every person I met throughout the whole process. Thank you A+ Derr for serving our area with such a high level of commitment and reliability.

    I was disappointed there was no communication, I had to clean up after them. The installation was not done when they said it was done also very long process not a 1-2 days actually 2 to 3 weeks. Call the manager he came out to go over the whole system and the problems I had he stay on his phone the whole time not focus dealing with the customer. Going on 3 months I have not received my paperwork. Text the owner made him aware of this but never responded. Totally upset with this company

    Our new furnace was purchased on November 2, 2020. We also purchased the monthly platinum maintenance plan for $23.00 a month. During the recent storm of December 23, 2022, with the coldest temperatures that we have had in Kentucky in 25+ years, our furnace quit working just before 11 pm on December 22, 2022. After a couple of hours of troubleshooting the furnace, we called for service at 1:30 am on Dec 23, 2022. We understood that service people could not come out immediately with the roads being bad. The first service tech arrived around 10 am on Dec 23th. He emptied condensation from inside the furnace and pointed out that the condensation was getting into the furnace from the vent on the roof. He left without fixing the vent and the heat ran for a little over an hour. We reported our outage again and the next service person came at 3 pm, cleaned the moisture from inside the furnace, and left. He mentioned that the drain was clogged due to a beetle, and the furnace ran a couple more hours and quit working once again. We called in another service ticket and they were to come in the morning of Dec 24th, Christmas eve. At around 4 pm, we called to verify that they were still coming, and they said that they could not come out. Told us to go buy some space heaters, and stores were already closed for Christmas. It was Christmas eve, we were freezing cold and worried about our pipes freezing. So, my 59-year-old husband got a piece to fix the vent (from Menards) and went up on the roof himself to fix the moisture coming-in problem. He and his 80-year-old father then stood at the furnace (in the garage) trying to figure out where the moisture was inside of the furnace that was shutting it down. Was fixed by my husband and his father who are not HVAC certified. A+ Derr is just watching the money come in and not responsible for any quality checks on service or customer satisfaction.
