DO NOT HIRE!! Incompetent, disrespectful, paid way more than quoted Our experience with Colt Moving was terrible! The lead mover was *****. When scheduling the move, it was determined that it would take 8 hours to move and a semi. After the first 4 hours, the semi was not even 1/3 of the way full. Due to how slow they were moving and how often they were stopping to talk, my family and I started moving items out as well. My family and I carried ALL of the boxes up from the basement and down from our upstairs floor. We moved majority of the garage and the patio furniture. We placed it next to the semi, so that they could load it. Two additional movers came to help after the first 4 hours. One of the new movers came over to apologize for how slow it was going. This mover was going to take apart our treadmill, so he wanted to show me how he did it for ease of rebuilding it. ***** told him that he should show my husband instead of me. I am a fully capable and intelligent woman! At 10 hour **** it was clear they were not going to fit all of our items into the semi. ***** came over for us to pay him. He apologized saying that if they would have packed the first half of the truck better, then all of our belongings would have fit. We ended up paying A LOT more than our quote, and we had to rent a U-Haul last minute to get the rest of our belongings. Overall, the movers were disrespectful, slow, incompetent, and did not finish their job. We moved out of the state, so not being able to take all of our belongings was a very big deal for us. We had a different company unload the semi. After taking off the first couple of rows, they could see all the way to the back of the semi. I called Colt Movings office to try to get this resolved. ***** was my contact there. He did not assist me at all. I told him what happened. He said he had to take the movers statements and would get back to me. He never returned my calls or emails. We had many broken items including our TV.

They over work their employees to the point they want to quit!! Theyre sending workers out on 3/4 jobs a day and the employees are not making it home til late in the evening!! Not paid per job even if the client doesnt sign the contract so they drive to where they have to load the truck and its a waste of time and gas, they dont pay for the job until its finished!! Since being with the company for a matter of months 10 employees have quit the employees have to supply and provide their own tools for the jobs they do!!! And the workers do not get the recognition the deserve for the work they do!!!

DO NOT use Colt Moving company!!!! They caused ****** worth of damage to my brand new home by negligence. You have to pay an extra ****** for appliance and they did not hook up my washer correctly and caused all this water damage. They told me they would take care of it and admitted fault. The guy had no idea how to hook it up and didnt install the drain pipe! He didnt install the dryer vent either. He just pulled it in. I have been living with 16 very loud fans for 4 days. They verbally told me twice they would cover it as its the right thing to do and backed out of it today. This has caused me so much stress. It also took them three times to put a twin bed together that they took apart. They didnt hook up my master bed either. They do not train their movers correctly. I have owned three businesses and am so disappointed in their services and how they have handled this. Save yourself a huge headache and damage to your house by using another company. There are other companies that are so much better. Trust me!
