  I adopted a kitten from the human society, part of that requires you to have it looked at from a vet as part of the adoption. I called ************ and asked about having it checked out and if they honored the free first check for humane society animals. They told me as long as I brought her papers the visit would be free. AFTER they did her visit they told me they do not do the free visit except from the cat rescue place in town. I verified before making my appointment and they told me yes it would be a free visit. Many vets offer the free visit for humane society adoptions. I would have taken it elsewhere if they were up front and not said it would be free.

  I apologize for the confusion regarding your appointment with ************. We do offer free exams vouchers to our local shelter, **************************, that is located in ****, *******, but not the surrounding cities.  When you called in to make your appointment,we misunderstood you and thought that you had adopted from this local shelter,not from *********************. Because of this, we can refund your exam fee only, which was $35.00. The additional vaccine fees you were charged were reviewed with you at the appointment before they were given. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me at the clinic. ***************************, Practice Manager
