April 14, 2023 we hired ***** of Dog Watch Wichita to install a hidden fence for our dog. He sent a young man out to install it for us. When the work was done - or so we thought - he came to our door & gave us the total & we paid him using check #102 for the total amount of $1782.00 and went on with our lives. It wasn't until months later when we hired a tree removal service in our backyard and starting cutting down and clearing plants in preparation for getting a new wooden fence put in that we realized the entire backyard dog fence portion hadn’t been buried at all but just laid on the ground or against the existing wood fence. We contacted Lance via phone as soon as we discovered this and he said he would have someone come out and finish the job. After many weeks & more phone calls to him, he finally sent someone out (not Lance or the person who installed the fence). This person spent about 10 minutes in the yard & said the job would take about 3 hours & he would have to come back later in the week. We were ok with this. The week passed so we called Lance again; He said he would have to come look himself. More time passed and nothing. I called again today 4/30/24 & he asked if we removed all the trees & plants in our yard. I said we paid a tree removal service & used a weed whacker to remove several tall plants. This was never communicated at the time of the fence install, we paid in full and had to discover for ourselves that the job was never finished. I also pointed out that he had never physically been to our property or seen our yard for himself. He said if he could work with my husband & not me, he would come out this morning. It is not noon & he hasn't shown up. We only desire for him to finish the work we ALREADY spent money on. If he can't do this, we are asking for a 75% refund as this is work we cannot do ourselves and the back yard is a huge portion. It is hindering us from moving forward with getting a new wooden fence. Thank you for your time!
