Students completed their MA program, registered online with NAHP. Paid their money, took their test & passed. A week later, NAHP notified everyone to say they can't accept their documents. They allowed them to register, take the exam, then refuse their transcripts & class completion. The system should make them upload the documents first. When I asked for a refund, she said sorry. Fraudulent company.

    Business response

    12/20/2023

Attached are 4 pages containing the NAHP response to the complaint against us.

NAHP requires all test sites to be approved before certification testing can be completed.

Prior to the applicants completing the application Phlebotomy Plus did not contact NAHP or complete any required paperwork to receive approval to become a test site with NAHP. An educational institute's program must be submitted and approved by NAHP for any testing to be valid.

Based on the telephone conversation with an applicant that has tested with NAHP, *** ******* joined the the conversion with the NAHP Office Manager regarding the denial of certification for the individual. She was told based on her course description the course would not have been approved by NAHP, the program is not accredited nor includes an externship. This incident could have been avoided had all proper procedures been followed.

Although the applicants may have been instructed by Phlebotomy Plus, they are the individual entering into the contract with NAHP and attested to all items on the application that they understood the application policies and procedures.

NAHP states in multiple  locations through the NAHP candidate handbook and on the actual application that the application fee is non-refundable for any reason. If in doubt regarding eligibility for a certification to be granted by NAHP, individuals are instructed to contact our office prior to applying.

Each person completing the NAHP must attest by check marking all boxes on the application that they have read over the candidate handbook and understand all requirements.

The individual filing this complaint, *** *******, is a certified member with NAHP. She applied, took, and passed the certification exam (dated of exam 02/09/2023) and was granted a certification based on her employment history and at no time indicated she had any issue with NAHP.

If she thought NAHP was fraudulent as she claims with the BBB why would she instruct individuals to complete an application with NAHP.

Any individual can apply to take a certification exam with NAHP, but if they do not meet the eligibility requirements, a certification will not be granted.

As each individual would have paid the application fee, each applicant would need to be the one to file any complaints. *** ******* would have no reason to receive compensation.

NAHP as been in the crediting field since 1982. Our policies are in place to protect patients, employers, and the public. NAHP does not modify their policies for any reason.

There will be no compensation issued to Phlebotomy Plus by NAHP.
