I took my car to have the front looked at. There is a loose plastic piece, no fault of ours. We did not hit anything. They gave me a quote for over $800. I asked if this is covered by the bumper to bumper warranty that we paid a lot of money for. They responded No-not when the clips are broke. We questioned how it would break when nothing has been done to damage it. He responded "must have curb checked" or bought it like that. We called the insurance. They stated it should be covered, and they would reach out to conklin. They called back a few days later and said they will follow whatever conklin says. NOTHING ELSE ON THE FRONT END IS CRACKED OR BROKEN. This would HAVE to be from a faulty piece, not on us. Can send pictures upon request.

Conklin Nissan Hutchinson reached out to Nissan USA for warranty coverage of the broken clips on the front bumper. Nissan declined warranty coverage, stating that the vehicle was out of the adjustments warranty period, and the the damage was not caused by workmanship or manufacture defect. In these scenarios Conklin Nissan Hutchinson request for warranty coverage from Nissan, however we have no control over their final decision. Conklin Nissan spoke directly with the Nissan customer care agent, who also spoke directly with the customer. In this case, Nissan declined warranty coverage and the Nissan customer care agent informed both us and the customer of this decision.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: we spoke with Nissan directly and they are the ones that told us Conklin informed them it was our fault. They told Nissan we “had to have curb checked or hit something”. With that said, Nissan said they have no choice but to follow what Conklin said. How could we have damaged anything if nothing else is wrong with it? It falls back on Conklins words. This is the first time we are hearing it’s out of our warranty date. We have 7 years of bumper to bumper warranty

    Sincerely,

I have confirmed with Nissan warranty and my service department, that the vehicle showed signs of front end damage (loose, pushed in) which caused the plastic chips to break. This all falls under normally wear and tear or misuse or abuse, not a defect or a warranty item.

    Thank You

I was going to buy a car but within 3 days, I returned the car. When I returned the car, I was told they would send a check for the $400 cash that I had given as a down payment. They did not send me the cash. They did send the money that was owed to the credit union back but I still have not received any money for that. I also had bought a gap policy with the car and when I call the credit union the gentleman told me that I should get some money back from that also which Conklin has not done. I have tried to call Conklins several times but the people I have to talk to will not answer my calls and will not call me back. I don’t know what else to do.
