Critter Control parked their commercial truck on my property Thursday October 10 around 12pm. They were not called by me and therefore trespassing on my property. I have security cameras that captured the individual and the vehicle. They proceeded to stay on my property and my driveway interrupting a realtor who was trying to show my home. The critter control employee constructed some type of contraption and then left screws and nails all over the driveway. The employee cost me a $369,000 home sale and I had to pay $250 for someone to come out and remove the nails and the screws. According to Neighbors this company was hired by a neighbor next door but Critter Control took the liberty to trespass and interrupt a home sale since I was not home

    Business response

    To Whom It May Concern,
In Response to the Better Business Bureau complaint, I do not own the Wichita Franchise so it should not reflect on my better business bureau account.  Critter Control of Wichita (Complaint) and Critter Control of Kaw Valley (My Company) are two separate entities.
I was asked to share what I do know about the job by a BBB representative.  I have spoken with the owner of Critter Control of Wichita and they said that the home owner they were working for (the complainant’s neighbor) originally gave them permission to park in that drive way.  On the day of the work being completed they were also told by the complainant’s realtor that they “were fine to stay in the drive way,” after offering multiple times to move the truck if it was needed.  They were doing insulation on the building next door so there was no building of anything taking place and the screws and nails are not part of the insulation process.  They stated that there was a fence company there at the time that was using nails and screws but they were not.  The quote for the removal of these items from his driveway also seems inflated.  Not sure who one would pay $250 to clean up screws and nails from their drive way when they can simply buy a good quality rolling magnet for $50-$100.
Ultimately this complaint is not for my company and should not be on my Better Business Bureau Account, considering I do not own that company or have control over the actions of the workers in that company. If the complainant would like to continue his complaint it would be best if it was done under the Critter Control of Wichita’s profile.
