Husband and I Stopped to look at a trucks at Briggs. while Husband was looking Sales person came up to him and started talking. We ended up going inside to get some info on the 2 trucks salesman showed us. Told us price of truck but no payments bc we didn't have our truck we were thinking about trading in with us. So we go get our truck to get estimates. Get back to dealership they took keys to our truck. They looked our truck over and gave us numbers. We talked it over gave paperwork to salesman told him no thank you we'd like our keys to our truck and followed him to front of dealship where our truck keys were. Stood there for quite awhile waiting to get our keys so long husband's back started hurting that we sat in two chairs by front area waiting on keys so we could leave. Salesman came to us without keys and asked us to come back to his desk again. His bosses were running more numbers. Then came to us with more numbers. Again we said no to numbers please give us our keys. This happened several times last time they showed us we was like ok if you can approve us for that. They said they would try. We filled out paperwork. They said ok we got you approved we go into finance guy office he starts working on computer w/ screens facing him Talks to us about few things. Then tells my husband your first to sign. Hands mouse to husband for him to sign. We can't see anything on screens to small and covered by a box to sign in. Then my turn. Finance guy printed everything off hands us paperwork walks us out to trucks. Switch plates. I set down in truck and look at paperwork and numbers. I said this is not what we agreed to. We go back inside to talk to them. Doors locked pound on door 2 guys came out they said they would call us next day to talk about it. Had we been shown the number on paper we would've never signed bc we said no to it earlier in evening. Dealership never called we had to texted and call them. Told us nothing they can do.

This customer was contacted by our General Manager on Wednesday November 20th 2024 and offered to unwind the car deal, have the customer return the truck she does not want back to us and take her trade-in truck back. The customer accepted this offer on a recorded phone call and plans to swap back out Friday November 22nd 2024 once she is back in town from an over the road trip to Colorado.

The consumer has made no contact to the dealership to inform us that they still have not looked at the vehicle that they traded in to us and then we reversed the deal and swapped back out.  We were not told about any additional miles put on the "traded" truck however again it was signed over to us legally so while in our possession we were never under any impression that we should not drive our vehicle.  In regards to the credit inquires, they do in fact consolidate to one inquiry as told to them as far as a credit score impact goes once the loan is finalized.  In this case, the consumer chose to unwind the deal and NOT finalize any loan.  At this point, as far as we can tell we have done our part as a business, unwound the deal, gave the truck back the consumer traded to us and thus fulfilled all promises upon complaint in our power.

Now that we have made it home to see our F350 truck that we had more than once requested the keys back for due too the fact we were just shopping around for trucks like we had done at the priviouse dearlerships that day. We did not agree to the numbers Briggs had given us by them refusing to give us our keys back and being left to set with no way to leave we felt we had no choice. When we got home to drive our F350 we discovered a clinking noise and a shimmy in the driving of the truck. We took the truck to our regular mechanic to look at the truck. He was able to find and fix the issues at over a $1000 bill. We have our truck back thats what we requested from the dealership. We also have learned that we will not be going back to Briggs for any services at all after the poor, neglectful and deceitful customer service we experienced. Just wanted to give an update as I said I would in the previous post.

I got in a car wreck in February. Briggs body shop fixed the body damage over a month later because they weren't available until then and I paid my accident deductible on my insurance claim of $*****. The body shop said my ac and brakes were still not fixed because they did not know how. I called Briggs gmc and made an appointment I waited a week they were not available then I took the car to Briggs gmc and they said they fixed the ac but not the ac switch. So the air is constantly blowing super hot air and I can't even turn it off. the brakes are getting worse each time I use them I can feel it. I bought this car from Briggs in September. Briggs gmc is saying I need to pay them more money to get the rest fixed because they don't know if it's from the wreck or not. They want me to pay my deductible for them of $***. I already paid my $**** accident deductible and that was supposed to cover any damage from the accident. So if it's not from the accident, Briggs sold me a faulty vehicle. This has been since February. I've been hung up on by Briggs, sometimes they aren't available and they say they'll call me back and they don't. They take a week to get my car in to look at it then they keep it all day. My car was in the body shop for over 2 weeks and I had to spend over $*** on a rental car. My car has been to Briggs probably 5-8 times since the wreck and is still not fixed.

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/06/24) */ The body shop repaired the the damage and then the vehicle was taken to our ********* location because the A/C was not working. they found that the wreck found some damage to a cooling line that insurance approved to replace under the claim. We completed that repair but her A/C was blowing hot air. They looked in to it and found that a cable under the dash that switches from hot to cold was damaged and is not covered under the insurance claim. We offered to run it under her service contract but there would be a $** deductible and she refused to pay. The service manager told her he would wave the deductible but she declined the service stating that she did not want to work with us anymore. We would still be willing to do that for her.
