v\We purchased a used car in February for our teen driver. We were assured it went through a rigorous inspection process. Until last week, we were happy with the purchase. As she was driving in rush hour traffic on the way to school, the right axle just fell off of the car! We had it towed to our mechanic, after the tow driver told us he had never seen anything like it, and our mechanic said it was long term damage that did not just happen since we owned the car. After a week of trying to reach the dealership's used and general sales manager and no calls back, I demanded the GM be called out of a meeting today. What happened to customer service? There was no resolution to our problem, just an "I'm sorry, I don't check landline voicemails." and "I'll do some research." Not sure what research is going to be conducted. Honestly, I didn't expect anything to come of it, but I at least expected a call back. Our fault for buying a car without a warranty, but you can bet we will not make the mistake of purchasing from here again.

Mrs. G******** called the dealership Saturday September 14th 2024 around 9:30 am. I was informed by receptionist that there was an upset customer on the phone and I needed to take call. I took call and listened to Mrs. G******** explained the situation. I did apologize to Mrs. G******** for not returning her call left on my office phone (call received Wednesday September 11th at 3:30 pm). The purchase of the 2014 Honda Accord with 117,923 miles was completed on February 2, 2024, the warranty on the vehicle was a Limited Powertrain Warranty of 30 days or 1,000 miles. The issue with the axel happened sometimes the beginning of September or end of August 2024 not sure. The phone call on Wednesday, that did go to my voice mail, was the first that I would have had a change to do anything with the vehicle, however we did not get the opportunity to look at the vehicle therefor, i cannot confirm nor deny any of the issues that they had with the vehicle.

Yes, we bought a used car with limited warranty that had some miles. Yes, I understand things happen and things failing can't be predicted, like the starter we had to replace on September 9th. However, my concern is with a piece of the car that rusted away until it broke that my teenage daughter was driving. That is something that SHOULD be caught on inspection according to a tow driver and a mechanic. Since the car was not under warranty and seeing your response to the situation, I know bringing it to Olathe Toyota would have done nothing for us, as they don't stand behind used cars that are sold. Also in regards to the response from the dealership, who I can assume is the general sales manager. I actually left 4 voicemails, and I sent one email. The email was sent on Saturday, September 7th. I left a voicemail with the used sales car manager on September 8th and 9th. I also tried to call back in the afternoon of the 9th and left a message for the general sales manager. I then called back AGAIN on September 11, as stated in general sales manager's reply, when I finally demanded to speak with someone.

I was working to buy a used car from Olathe Toyota. We had been in to look at the car over two days, but had to do a lot of work over the phone for logistic reasons. We had been working with the salesman ***************, who stated that we had an agreement and wanted to move forward. I had a cashier's check made, and were on our way into the dealership, as he hadn't returned my calls for over 2 hours after sending me an invoice for the final amount. When I called the manager, he stated that the car was sold 15 minutes ago. I asked what about our agreement, and he declined any further information and ended the conversation. After spending two days working on a car after dealing with issues from my wife being in a wreck, they totally used us as a bargaining chip and cut us out, and then stopped answering or possibly even blocked my phone calls. I will never work with this dealership again.

My catalytic converter was solen from my Toyota Prius and it cannot be operated safely or legally without it. I found the part advertised (in-stock) online from a Toyota Dealership for a reasonable price, so I ordered it on 08/09/2022 and the money was immediately transferred from my account.Days later, I got a phone call from **************** Thomas Olathe Toyota ****************** to be told that the part was not actually in-stock but was backordered. I mentioned that the money was already taken from my account and was told that I could cancel the order and lose my place in line and, incidentally, it is on backorder all across the country.I left it alone because I do need the part. Since they already took my $1,981.33 USD (including: Shipping, Handling, and taxes,) and the part is still being advertised as in-stock, I am left feeling that I have been taken advantage of and poorly serviced by the Toyota Corporation and this dealership. As of this writing (08/16/2022) there is still no update on when (or if) the part might arrive.

Sirs I have reviewed the customers review and i must say that the part he ordered is a catalytic convertor that we sell a lot of due to the rampant thefts nationwide. We see this part come through our inventory almost every other day before they go right out the door to another customer. I checked the website and we show zero on hand of the part# he ordered at the time of this writing. I am not stating that what he is saying about seeing it showing on hand qty is untrue, i just dont know. If it was showing that i am sure it was for another customer and it wasnt billed yet which would bring qty on hand back to zero. When my team is reviewing orders if we see that there will be any kind of delay we put order on hold and reach out to customer and give them the option of waiting on the part or cancelling and refunding the order. We dont want to set false expectation. And yes when someone places an order it is paid for upfront, that is company policy. i will reach out to customer on ETA of the part.
