    I have a small life insurance policy started when I was 5 years old by my father. The policy has change insurance companies at least a hundred times since its inception. The last time was when all America financial acquired it. This company is the worst of the worst. Technically they are stuck in the last century and really could care less about making it easy for their customers. I have finally figured out I can change insurance companies with my policy, which I did this morning. DO NOT EVER CONSIDER DOING BUSINESS WITH THESE TIRED OLD WHITE GUYS FROM KANSAS! The word Kansas should tell you everything you need to know about the tired old crappy company.

    After paying premiums for over 45 years on a Universal policy I have been told that my premium must rise because they used my cash value. It was never explained by the agent when I purchased the policy. It has been bought 4 times before First Allmerica bought it. I called the,m a number of years ago to inquire about my decreasing cash value, but they never mentioned that when THEY used it up I would have to pay more not that I am 72 years old. I should have bought a term policy, but agents all say it has no cash value. Universal Life policies are a scam if you ask me. And this company should be avoided because their customer service is the pits.

    Worst customer service ever. Tried to access funds for loan to be wired to my bank . Not one callback to tell me void counter check not ok, needs my checkbook check which I did not have with me. Now at day 6 awaiting wire, no wire yet, because Allmerica First INS. did not like counter check. Not only did THEY MAKE NO EFFORT TO NOTIFY ME OF NECESSARY CORRECTION, I ONLY FIND OUT WHEN I CALL! So I take my check and fax it in as directed and the customer service tells me it will be another 5-7 business days . TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. I then ask for Supervisor "who has no time to talk to me!". However if all is ok .......MAYBE I CAN EXPECT WIRE BY TOMORROW OR MONDAY! DO I HAVE FAITH IN THIS????? NO!!!!! THIS IS DISGUSTINGLY INAPPROPRIATE CUSTOMER SERVICE ( WHERE SERVICE IS NOT CUSTOMER FIRST BY INS CO FIRST. DOES NO ONE KNOW HOW TO WORK HARD TO HELP CUSTOMERS???? SURELY NOT HERE!

    My husband has 3 life policies with this company, we can never talk to a live person. The value of the life insurance went down immensely, why? Should I stop paying premium's ?

    My policy premium is paid annually. Every year I don't get invoice or any notification. When I call them, they promise to send it but never happens. The is no website to check on payments, etc. Worse experience
