Thankfully, I did not purchase from Don Hattan-West, but I wanted to inform you of my experience so that you might avoid their deception. I planned to buy a pre-owned vehicle at the listed price online, and upon evaluation of my trade, they provided a deal for me to consider. When I arrived home and reviewed the details, I noticed the "sales" price was $799 over the online price. I called them back to inform them of the mistake and made a counteroffer. I didn't hear back. When I called again, Leigh told me I should have been informed that a paint protectant was applied to the car and built into the sales price on the agreement but excluded from mention online (or in person). They attempted to deceive me through this practice, and I wanted to give you a fair warning. These are the types of practices that give dealerships and salespeople a bad reputation. The irony is that I purchased the car I planned to trade from Don Hattan-Augusta new and had an outstanding experience. However, I will not do business with them again based on this. I hope this feedback is helpful to you.

I purchased a 2021 Buick with just over 29,000 miles from Don Hattan in Park City on Saturday. Wednesday, I realized that the lane keep assist and IntelliBeam headlights were not working. I text my salesman to inform him, and he responded, advising me to bring the vehicle in the following Monday. On Friday, I received a text from him stating that because I did not take the "extended warranty," I would likely be responsible for 50% of the cost to fix the issue. My husband called the dealership that day and spoke with a manager who told him to bring the vehicle in so they could assess the problem, mentioning the possibility that GM might cover the cost since the warranty had only expired six months prior, but he could not guarantee that they would. We took the vehicle in for the appointment on Monday, without even looking at the vehicle we were told there was nothing they could do because we did not have the extended warranty. After a lengthy discussion and a call to my bank, we explored a couple of other vehicles. Eventually, they agreed to take it into their shop for inspection and sent me home with a loaner. Following day, we get a call that the camera in the mirror had malfunctioned. A common issue with these mirrors and was actually covered 100% by GM. Had we started by looking at the vehicle first, instead of with we can’t do anything you didn’t buy the extended warranty this could have been an entirely different situation. Thankfully my husband had worked in the car industry for over 10 years and is familiar with how things work or should work, at least with a dealership that stands by what they sell. An extremely disappointing experience, even my loan officer and bank president were shocked by how we were treated with all of this. Now we all agree to go elsewhere when looking for a vehicle.
