    Hello,

Richardson Auto Mart did sell this 2015 Nissan Juke.  The title is in, but it is an out of state title and requires an inspection with the local sheriff's office to be transferred.  With the vehicle being tore down at the dealership, we can't at this time get the inspection, thus being unable to complete the inspection or the transfer.  We, the dealership, pay for the warranties on our cash purchases for customers as a curtesy to the customer.  We don't make the decisions as to what the warranty company (ASC) will or won't cover.  We do not service vehicles at our dealership.  The customer purchased the vehicle "AS IS" , with no warranty from the dealership itself.  The customer signed the 'AS IS" document knowing that the dealership is not responsible for the vehicle, mechanical or otherwise once it leaves the dealership.

We did speak personally to the Nissan Dealership service shop.  The mechanic advised that 1 valve had a chip in it and that that valve needed to be replaced along with recommending the customer also replace the timing chain at the same time.  Customer had advised that she was told the motor had a hole in it due to burnt valve and the entire motor needed to be replaced.  That was not the case at all.

The warranty company advised the customer to have the motor tore down to find out what the issue was.  That is also between the customer and the warranty company, as we sell ALL our vehicles from the dealership "AS IS".

It is unfortunate that this vehicle now has mechanical issues, but Richardson Auto Mart does not assume any liability on a vehicle once all the documents are signed and the customer leaves the dealership.

I have attached a copy of the title from Indiana, the "AS IS" buyer guide, and the warranty that was purchased separately for the customer on the vehicle.

If there are any other questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.
