First I only gave service one credit union one star because that’s as low as I can rate them. I paid my van off warily and all I have gotten is the runaround about my title and lean release. When I took the loan service one made me put a gap policy on the loan to ensure they got their money if certain circumstances occurred. My check cleared the bank the day after I paid it off and yet I was told I had to wait ten days for the title. Today the ten days are up and they told me they mailed the title and I might receive it this week or next week. The car dealer told me if I paid the van off early I would receive a check back for the gap policy. Every day that goes by I loose money on that policy because it is prorated. They have cost me money. If it were the other way around they would ruin my credit. So do yourself a favor and don’t do business with service one credit unions.

We apologize that you did not get the service you expected. We would like to give you some other clarifying information. Your vehicle was purchased with Midwest America Federal Credit Union not Service One Credit Union. Service One Credit Union purchased your loan from Midwest America Federal Credit Union. Service One Credit Union does not require members to purchase GAP insurance. You should have received your title from us via mail. If you have not please let us know. We will also mail you a copy of your GAP contract with the dealer.
