    Picked up a Mella mushroom fruiting chamber, found that the units do not do well in desert climates. Their website and many reviews gush over how the unit controls light / fresh air / humidity, but the unit will not do a good job in a dry climate (their commercial director noted in email that the unit relies on ambient airflow). Nothing on their site discusses this, and they do not offer refunds once the product is open. Disappointing, and there are cheaper solutions with better results. They do have a product in development to address this need, but I'm not confident after already paying a premium price for a product that's only premium in specific circumstances.

As is the case with most indoor growing scenarios, extreme conditions can cause variation. We do plan to offer a humidity accessory that will help our customers living in extremely arid locations.     We have had the opal ice maker for several years...one of the original versions. Until the last week it has been pretty good and have had no real issues other than a regular cleaning. It all of the sudden just quit making ice and it goes into a perpetual defrost mode, then stops and shows the bin is full with zero ice at all being made. I have reached out to the customer service for help on how to resolve my issue via rhe website...called...emailed..multiple times...and have YET to get a response from ANYBODY. We have loved the machine, but their customer service SUCKS!

    My husband purchased the Opal ice maker in Dec. 2020 and it started making squealing noises and stopped producing ice regularly in Nov. 2021. I reached out to the company and was told to reply to the email with a video. I did what was asked and then spoke with someone who told me that it was normal and I just needed to clean it and there wasn't anything else they could do. It has been a thorn in my side since. I regularly clean the machine so didn't know how that could be the issue. However, I clean it every couple days because it either barely produces ice, runs hot, goes into defrost mode, or doesn't run at all. I've reached out to the company again now that the ice maker has completely stopped working and was told it is out of warranty and to attempt to fix it I would have to send it in and pay $250. If it can't be fixed they would refund me half of the $250 and then offer me 20% off a new machine or I could just receive 20% off a new machine. What a rip off and a horrible warranty on a product. My husband spent $500 for an ice machine and shouldn't have to pay that much to attempt to fix it. Plus only be given back a partial refund if they can't fix it which I'm sure they would say they couldn't so I would be stuck buying another one. There is no responsibility on the part of the company. An ice maker shouldn't stop working after a little over a year. I'm the only one out time and money with their deceptive offer. I am highly disappointed because I loved the ice before the issues started and have had many friends purchase an opal because I highly recommended the ice maker.

    I purchased GE Opal 2.0 nugget ice maker Junk straight from the box. Will not make ice. Shuts off after 5 minutes while it is stating making ice. I called customer service said nothing they can do. Woman was very nasty. Literally on phone no more than 3 minutes.

    I have a game that I play on my phone called word connect where they show products! I saw the opal nugget ice maker and immediately wanted it! So I clicked on it filled out the form and they took my money! This was months ago! I still! have not received anything! so I'm assuming I got scammed! I just dont want this 2 happen 2 anyone else! because I also saw an inflatable spa which would've been amazing! 4 my arthritis! needless 2 say the exact same thing happened! Idk how ppl can be so cruel! it's just sad! and I want everyone 2 be aware of my dilemma...

    I have bought 2 of **** ice maker had trouble out of them about 3 or 4 times I feel like this product was built to be a disposable product that only last about a year I feel like the company should look into it there has been a lot of people talking about the product only lasting about a year and they want sale there product Except the accessories but not anything else they want us to pay 250 for them to work on it if the product is that bad and don’t care about how much there paying customer pay and don’t last long in 3 years our 2 ice maker has been replace around 4 or 5 times

    I bought2 Opalo1gepkt. The first had to be replaced twice in a year then we bought another had to have it replace twice and it stop working again making screeching noise and stop making ice a Plastic piece broke and feel in the gear box salver and want work so Reported it to the company but they weren’t too concerned I feel like it should be a recall or something and I tried to order the parts in Opal or not let anybody buy parts they keep them for their self I figured out that this is a disposable icemaker that should last about a year but it’s not notated very disappointing the product very disappointed with everything
