I had a very good experience with this company. Everyone I dealt with was extremely helpful & polite My windows were installed before the expected date. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!! We had such a horrible experience with this company that they should not be in business!! We contacted them September 2022 for an estimate and signed the contract in October. Our first installation was January 2023 where they found they mismeasured multiple windows... They apparently remeasured and ordered them again. During this time we put our house up for sale and sold it in March 2023, the new owners knew that new windows were to be installed and had already been paid for. They came out in April 2023 to find out AGAIN the windows were the wrong size. We do not hear anything until August where the new owners are saying they have yet to install the new windows and started threatening us to take us to court. We tried to get ahold of the branch manager MULTIPLE times are never heard a word. We finally reached out to customer service and they helped very little until March of this year where they opened a investigation. Come to find out they lost the windows in the warehouse and had to reorder them yet again. We tried to get ahold of someone in management and customer service would never transfer us. They finally installed the correct windows April 2024... 20 MONTHS it took to finally get this nightmare over!Universal Windows Direct of Louisville Response

We would like to apologize for any frustration that this homeowner has felt as the original homeowner of the property we installed windows into. It is never ideal to have delays on a project and that said, we have been in direct contact with the new homeowners, as part of our commitment to our transferrable lifetime warranty, and are happy to report that this work has been completed. Universal windows sucks! They are unable to measure a window correctly! They had to make my windows three different times! They have been out to my house 4 times now to hopefully will resolve the issue this Friday. They will not compensate for any time lost for work as they claim it is under warranty work. It has been over a year for them to fix my issue. I do not recommend them. They are rude when talking to you and refuse to let you talk to managers. They left my shutter off of my house! They left a 4 inch gap at the top of my window and just filled it in with foam and told me it was okay. They have been nothing but a headache’s! They tell you they will call you back and don’t. UWD just completed the installation of all the windows in my residence as of 4/27/2023. Overall, my Wife and I are very satisfied with the results so far. Time will tell on the longevity of the really good job but I see no reasons to expect any issues. Orlando and his installation team were very professional, performed their tasks flawlessly, and seemed to take a lot of pride in getting high quality results. The only issue that came up during this project (only 9 of the 10 windows originally showed up) was resolved quickly by the sales rep and the install was only delayed 2 days. As most people, I’ve never had new windows installed before so I have no past experiences to which I can compare this project. However, I can say this company surprised me on how easily this project proceeded and was completed with what I’d say were very acceptable results. I've purchased from them twice now. Both times everything went fairly smooth. There was a slight delay in getting the door but they are custom built and we're still dealing with post-Covid backup. The sales reps were polite and easy to work with. The company kept me informed every step of the way. The team(s) of installers were very professional, did excellent work. Quality products at fair prices. Hopefully with such good quality, I won't need to bother with the great warranty they provide. This company is a fraud. I ordered windows from them in October of 2022. They came to install my windows on January 18th. When they got here, they measured one of the windows incorrectly, so we had to reorder a new window. It’s now March 16th, the morning of the new windows to be installed, and they call and tell me they only ordered one window and it will be an additional month for the windows to come in. Keep in mind we have taken off work to be here for the installations. So fed up I asked them not to reorder the windows and I wanted a refund. I was told the have never not will they ever issue a refund and that I am not able to get my money back, no discount will be offered and no one was in the office that I can speak with about my issue. All managers were in a meeting. I reach out to my sales person, Mark B***, who was supposed to help me with the first issue and he never called me back. The manager, Mike, called me once but I missed his call. Called him back and haven’t spoken with him at all. DO NOT buy windows from this company. Second product purchased, we like the quality, warranty, and the fact the product is made once you order and made in the USA. Amazing quality and look. The installers are courteous, professional, and do a great cleaning the area(s) they work in. Very responsive customer service. Make sure you follow up on EVERYTHING!!!! Started the process on August 8, 2022 with the quote and the work wasn't completed until December 19, 2022 and one of the nine windows had to be re-ordered because the bathroom bottow glass was supposed to be obscured. The major problem was on the day of installation, all 9 windows were measured incorrectly and needed to be re-measured and re-ordered. More time off to be home for these appointments. We wanted these particular windows because they were the best on the market. Customer Service was NOT the best experience and we continually got the run around. Provision was made to have the measurements and the next install on a day and time of our choosing. The windows were installed on a Sunday morning December 19th and the installers were very thorough, prompt, friendly, fast and cleaned everything up once they were finished inside the house and outside. They made up for all of the hastle of getting the windows, The purchase price with rebates were better than any other quotes we received. If you use this company, only pay the down payment until the job is completed. I've always paid in full for windows on other homes with no problem. Have the measurements double/triple checked before they leave. I was told the person who made the measurement mistakes was fired. I think he made that same mistake on other window appointments. He was a nice guy but we found out later that he didn't know how to measure windows. Customer Service is just as important as the install itself. The Sales Rep. Mark B*** was the best part of this whole experience. He is the one who sold us on these windows. Mark was absolutely Fantastic. Mark B*** helped save Universal Window Direct's butt along with Tyrone M*****. Tyrone M***** allowed us to express our anger with the whole process and come up with a solution.
