A quote was done at 4000. That included a septic job to be done including equipment usage. Was told standing in our living room, that the 2000 dollar deposit should be adequate for this and the other odd jobs that needed done. No equipment was brought, septic was not fixed. After a while, when we didnt here from there we received an invoive stating we owed additional 1503.35. I tried to call the office was told I had to talk to ** ****** I never received a phone call. I sent a couple of text, and emails,to no avail. Then I received another invoive stating we owed additional fees due to being late. (Which there was never a contract or any paperwork we signed regarding this. Still no communication other than invoices. Finally I sent a registered letter May 23 2023. I received the signature card, and then an email came from Keath builders. We exchanged 2 emails after that,me requesting an itemized invoice of the services and labor. I received an invoive stating there were just a few hundred dollars in supplies, then for labor...3000. No explanation as to what We would like to see the septic finished as stated. Or the other option would be to make our balance 0. No more monies owed at this point. Services was done Nov.21 2022 Thank you for any assistance at this point. ******* ********

In reference to BBB file # ********* the original quote was indeed $4000 for the work/repair of any visible issues at the time of the initial visit to the property.  This was not a contract cost due to the possibility of any underlying factors.  The digging had to be done by hand (instead of with equipment) because of the saturated condition of the property.  When digging, it was discovered that the D-Box was flooded by rain water.  A local environmentalist advised that it would be necessary to construct a perimeter drain system (although not guaranteed) which would require permitting, etc.  We submitted a letter dated 5/7/23 to our customer explaining all of this.  Later, on 06/08/2023, we submitted a second letter that included a cost breakdown that supported the original estimated and actual costs of $3503.36.  We advised that the difference of $496.64 could be available to apply to the suggested perimeter drain if approved by customer.  We also offered installment payment option to the customer.  As for the comment of the customer being told she needed to talk with *** ****** well, there is no one here by that name.  Also, the phone number on our estimate is a land line and therefore does not accept texts.  We did not have any voice mails either. Furthermore, our office is only open Monday -Thursday. We are closed on Fridays. I don't think she called the correct number as we did not see her number on our caller ID.  In our opinion, this is typical reaction from a customer that does not want to pay for services rendered.  At this time, the billed amount of $1503.36 is still due from the customer.
