I entered into an agreement with *** **** on June 7th, 2024 for a complete master bath remodel with an estimated cost of $28,000 and an estimated time frame of 3-4 weeks. At this time, I gave him a list of the fixtures and tile I picked out for the job. On June 11th, I paid a 50% deposit of $14,000. *** **** started my job on June 24th. He sent two of his men here, off and on over the next four weeks for a total of approximately 33hours. In that time, they completed the demo portion, some drywall repairs and began putting down tile backer board on the floor. That is the extent of the work completed in the 4-week period. I spoke with his men on the 18th and they said they weren’t making progress because *** **** had not provided them the needed materials. On July 22, we asked *** **** to provide proof that he had purchased any of the materials needed for my job with the 14k that we had given him. At that time, he voluntarily quit. He told us that we just needed to get someone else to finish the job. On the 23rd, I consulted with an experienced contractor on the figures, and composed a detailed letter requesting that he refund me $10,500 of my deposit. This was a generous and fair offer for the amount of work completed. I sent him the letter via text message and overnighted a copy through the Post Office. That same day, *** **** acknowledged receipt of the letter but told me that he had to run his own figures and would get back to me. Three days later, he still refused to return any portion of the money, telling me that he would return my money when his lawyer looked over the figures. At which point, I gave him the name of my attorney, however he refused to give me the name of his. *** **** has made no attempt to contact me since July 26th. He has refused all correspondence from us. I will be meeting with my attorney, **** ****** of Princeton, Ky on August 7th to pursue action against *** ***** Thank you for any help or advice in this matter.

The installation of the fence was not done properly. I have had two fence companies look at the problems. I am listing them as described to me. The long section of wooden fencing ( shadow box is the term) peep a boo mention on estimate is only done with two horizontal boards it should have three. It was constructed improperly and I asked for it to be corrected upon seeing it. This was done at that time. But I did not know it was supposed to have three horizontal boards in its foundation between posts. Now the gates, one single and one double are not shutting properly and the horizontal boards are part of the reason. The other reason is the post are very moveable. If pressure is placed on the post the ground around it for 5 inches or so moves. Repairmen said the post are not in the ground enough and horizontal boards support the tension for gate (and or post need more concrete to hold post). None of the gates have diagonal supports so this also plays a role is gate problems. Vertical Boards are split and broken on this section. And the quality of the boards is poor some have edges that are thinning to a breaking point. Installed single entry latches so I had to replace them myself with two way latches. Otherwise one could not get in the backyard or out. The short wooden fence was supposed to come away from the house with posts to adjust for line up to neighbors fence then add the fence gate but instead the whole gate goes to one post on the side of the house and sits at an angel to opening side. Chain link fence has one corner post put in with rail post. Therefore the claps holding the fence in place are too big for the post allowing clamps to move. The bottom of fence does not have a runner through it to prevent my dog from pushing out under the fence. The fence post next to my neighbors fence is very loose and guessing it is not in the ground far enough to hold position. Notice in picture it is high above the chain link fence line. Fence stretching improper.
