Not sure where to begin. Let’s just discuss this door issue for now. We have lived in this “finished” house for over a year now (“finished” with sarcasm bc there are still areas in the dry wall needing smoothed from construction - but after waiting a year for the 1 year touch now they are saying they won’t touch those up - I could have spackled those a year ago if that was the case. Anyhow.) Right now I’m with a front door torn out after already waiting a year for them to replace it from being dented during installation. Fast forward a year after living with the dinged brand new door, they ordered the wrong replacement door but didn’t check that until after cutting out our current door. Now we are having to wait another month without front door trim (bc they didn’t put it back on once they realized it was not the right door) before they will have time to replace the replacement door. And upon installation of the temporary door, I saw it wasn’t sealed from the elements and I had to express stress and frustration before they would finally agree to put a temporary seal to protect from the elements. I imagine if I wasn’t there and upset we’d have rain coming in the house over the next month. Leading up to handing keys over things were good but dealing with the 1 year warranty touch ups (roof shingles, HVAC air flow/returns, nail pops, front door repair, etc) has been less than desirable. We just want the house to be finished and to be done with TK.

This company has zero respect for their customers and poor customer service. We have numerous issues with our build. We had to watch every single thing that was put into our house because items would come in that were incorrect and they would try to install. Nothing was completed on the time schedule we were given. We have had terrible issues with our HVAC and hot water heater. We have reached out to them and the contracted companies provided to us on multiple occasions. They make a little effort to correct these problems as well as offer little solution. After repairs remain uncompleted and others are reoccurring , the response is consistent an insincere apologies and no resolution. We have now had to pay repairs out of pocket and outside their 1 year warranty they have no intentions of fixing anything.

We vetted several home builders and found that TK appeared to offer the best value and floor plans that we were looking for. Once we broke ground, we had to babysit the entire home building process. We fired our supervisor because he made derogatory comments towards our home. I spoke with his boss and got no resolution, only excuses. I ended up speaking with the owner and he accused us of having a personality difference and made more excuses. We moved into our home October 2021...and it has been nothing but troubles since. The customer service is absolutely terrible. The vast majority of the sub-contractors that work with TK are just as bad. They find the cheapest labor possible and their work proves just that. I wish 0 stars was an option! I highly recommend doing research prior to signing with this company. I have documented all encounters with pictures and would be willing to share with anyone interested. Their motto should be, 'Over-promise and under-deliver'. Please consider this review prior to moving forward with TK Constructors.

The homebuilding process wasn't terrible but it wasn't super professional either. They hung my corner windows crooked and refused to inspect them after I brought it to their attention over the course of a month or so. They told me it was an optical illusion. They eventually had to rip the siding out to rehang them. One of their onsite managers divulged personal financial information about the elderly couple building across from us. Then two years later came to find out that someone in their office had divulged personal information about us to a TK family member. This family member has a violent criminal history dating back nearly 20 years. The owner denied it 100% despite having no way to actually know whether someone employed by him could have possibly done it. Mark ******** is very rude, possibly getting a little old to be running a company with any type of professionalism. I would 100% avoid building a home with them.
