  Dear BBB, I contracted with A Family Tree Care to have some work done, including the middle branch removed on my tulip tree. I have the receipt/contract on the company’s letterhead, stating the tulip tree’s middle branch will be removed. Unfortunately now that a problem has developed with the tulip tree, the gentlemen who came out, said that the original tree worker (******* no longer works for their company, and they are not responsible for his work. I have not been able to reach the ****** and these two other gentleman from the company were out and want more money to correct the problem. They agreed the middle branch needs to be removed, but that they are not responsible for work not completed by someone who no longer works for them. When ****** left after doing different work on the tulip tree than in the contract, he said he took off other branches and the tree was OK now. Unfortunately, a few days or a week later, we had a big storm, and over half a dozen large branches came down in my yard and the neighbor’s yard. Not what I would consider OK. I have pictures of these, if you would like me to send them to you. The tree company has still stated they are not responsible for work under this contract, and I would like you to mediate getting this work done as it should have been covered under the contract. It should not cost another $900-$1850 to have this branch removed. Before signing the contract, I even checked the insurance coverage for the workers, and it was from the company not the individual.
