01/28/2022 I ordered 2 headstones for my grandparents from Hamilton's Headstones, in which I paid half the total cost in the form of personal check that he cashed on 1/31/22 for $650. They were suppose to be ready in May around Mother's Day 2022. My calls, texts and visits were ignored. Another planned delivery of October 2022 was expected to happen, which would include a payment (final) from me of $650.00 on that day. On the day of ETA delivery 10/17/23 - he stood me up with a lame excuse and never rescheduled. Note: Every time I requested to see the stones before delivery (nothing). Mentally, I could not handle it and at that point and I turned it over to my great-aunt to assist. She began contacting him February 14, 2023. He made the same excuses/promised to her. He lied about making the situation right and then stopped answering the phone. Recently, June 2024 I sent him a refund demand - certified/return receipt letter giving him 30 days to refund my payment. He would not sign for it or pick it up from the post office so it was returned to me 2 weeks ago, This entire situation has taken a toll on me mentally and emotionally. I would like my payment refunded to me in the form of a cashiers check because I don't have trust in his unprofessional business practices. His word means nothing to me. There were things I discussed at point of sale as part of the delivery included in the cost of the headstones. He gave words but would not notate on the receipt. i.e., such as removal of an old stone to put the new one on. I have waited long enough for a resolve. I've watched via social media of others who ordered headstones after me and got their product. It seems if payment was an issue, he would have contacted me because my phone number has not changed. Note- COVID and supply deliveries were the initial excuses and he had to make up orders prior to mine. So many previous customers of his all say the same thing about this business owner as it can be fact checked.
