On February 9, 2022, G******* ********* * landman and employee of this company, reviewed a project I presented to her to locate about six properties in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana, which my husband inherited. She told me she was an expert in locating property. She said it would not be difficult at all to locate the items, and even said Plaquemines Parish was her favorite parish to do work . After she located one of the items she sent me an invoice dated March 14, 2022 for $425. On April 3, 2022, Ms. M******* sent me an email stating she received my check and that she would be in touch with me soon. On May 23, 2022 she sent me an email stating she couldn't complete the job due to a personal issue, and she referred me to a coworker named ******* ******** On June 29, 2022, Ms. S****** emailed me and said she was going to get started on our project. Neither of these employees told me my project was difficult or gave a reason why they could not finish what was started. I sent Ms. S****** an email on August 14, 2022 to ask what the issue was preventing her from completing our project. She has not replied since.

First of all ******* ******* is not my emlpoyee or a contracted to me for work. I am not resposible for whateve occured between Ms. ***** *nd Ms. S******* 2nd of all, I am most unhappy about having to spend time dealing with this. I put alot of my own time researching and reviewing information related to this project. See emails attached. Also, she requested that I invoice. See emails attached. Also, there were more than 6 tracts that she wanted info on. See emails. Further, I sent her info on 3 tracts and aslo did research on their oil and gas properties.

Lastly, I would like to say that a huge part of the problem for *** ***** *s that she does not have an understanding of the matters involved in the ownership verification, identification, etc. Most people do not have experience with dealings with successions, reseraching records, etc.

If *** ***** apologizes for this compalint, I will gladly speak with *** ***** and tell her what I would do in her situation, which is far simplier than what she is asking.

Lastly in one o* *** ***** letters , she outined items that were priority. You need to research these properties before you ask for work to be done on them. One of those priority items was C****** ******* ***** * ***** claim. That claim has been litigted since before the civil war.

Good luck to all. I expect this claim to be removed immediately.

    Thank you,

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 17761027, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]

    Regards,
    ******** *****

I didn't expect the owner of the company to agree with my complaint. In her own words, she stated I requested she "locate" six properties. In the last email she attached, she stated, "I will see if I can easily map all these parcels on one map." She never did map them, nor did she locate the remaining three properties and map those. After I paid her for the first three, though they were never mapped and completed, she avoided me. All I wanted was one map showing all of our properties so we knew where they were. So what if one of them was being disputed since the Civil War, we just wanted the location of the property - not for her to resolve the dispute.

Regarding ****** *******, how would I know if she wasn't her employee?

Ms. M******* never completed the job she said she was going to complete for me. She never gave me a reason why she would not or could not complete the assignment that she initially told me over the phone that she could easily complete. I was hoping she would reply that she would just complete the task then I would pay her what she was due. She has only stated that she will tell me what she thinks I should do. My family waited over four months for her to complete a job, and she didn't complete it. She must be reported so others will know they too may get the run-around.

It has been several months since you agreed to locate and map the handful of properties my husband, *****, inherited. We thought that we showed good faith by paying you quickly after your first several hours of research.

You initially expressed that you could locate the items. Have you concluded that our request too difficult now, or have I made it too confusing with my attempt to clarify what we needed?

Please let me know, as we would really like to get this completed.

    Thank you!
