    I dropped off two dress white shirts on August 11, 2022 to this cleaners. The owner of the cleaners elderly guy took my shirts. He never give tickets to you when bringing in your clothes. I told him I was going out of town could I pick them up when getting back. He said yes. I went to pay for them when I got back on the following Wednesday he told me he had no record of any shirts and he don't know what to tell me. He called me a few days later and said they may have gotten mixed up with the guys clothes who came in after me and he works offshore so I would have to wait and see if they are returned. I asked this guy nicely to compensate me for the 2 shirts if he loss them which he said he will let me know. A week later I go back his son tells me he is at lunch, but will tell him contact me. Two days go by nothing, I call again, speak with him he tells me he will get back with me in a few days still nothing. I call back the following week the son tells me he will have to compensate me for shirts. I told the son a week later that after calling and getting the same results that they had until September 11, 2022 which is a month from the day I dropped them off. In the meantime my grandmother passed and I had to end up purchasing at least one new shirt to go to the funeral. I called on Sept. 12 to see what was the resolution to my month old problem. The owner tells me he need to know a cost. I told him I had my receipt for the shirt I purchased on saturday for the funeral to replace one of the missing shirts which was $30. The man proceeds to tell me he is not paying me for a new shirt he need to know and need proof of when I bought missing shirts and cost. So basically he wants me to produce something I don't have when he loss my shirts. I offered to give him my receipt from Saturday and he tells me he don't want me on his property. I gave him a price of the new shirt that was purchased. Just give me my money since I had to go through this especially after a loss.

    At this time, I have been contacted directly by Scelfo's Cleaners regarding complaint ID 18017817, however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

    The owner wants a receipt on how much I paid for the shirts that he loss.  There is no way I have these receipts so I told the owner that I have the receipt for one shirt in which I paid for the man told me he will not pay me for new shirts.  Well at this point who keeps receipts from shirts that fit correctly and no need to return?  I think I had been more than fair and patient in this entire process. This man loss my clothes but refuses to pay me for new shirts the store doesn't sell old shirts for me to give him a receipt for a used shirt.  Im disgusted and wouldn't recommend this business to a dog.  The man is very rude.
