Area Wide Roofing put a new roof on my home January 2022 and one of their employees cut my wires to my flood light. I have sent several emails and spoke to Ms. ****** who said the employee said I said cut the wire. I told her he was lying. I have not heard from the company by phone or email. There was a bad language barrier and before the job was completed I had to have Ms. ****** come to my home because of an incident. I most certainly Emphatically did not tell them to cut my wire! I have a certified electrician waiting for my ok to repair what was damaged. Ms.****** said the company would pay me 200$ . I have not received any money from them but I did email them a copy of the cost by my Electrcian to remove and inspect the damage. His cost to me is 300$ and that is not to repair the wire . Im in need of help with this matter. Thanks ********* w

We were unable to reach you but did leave a voicemail. We also reviewed your uploads but must have missed the quote from the electrician. We do not take reasonability in this matter but would love to come to a mutual agreement regarding this matter.

On 2/4/22 we signed a contract to have our roof replaced for $7,203. There were two obvious places where a tree landed on our house from ***: the rear soffit/facia where the tree landed and a hole where a branch went through the middle of the roof, and the salesman acknowledged them. The rear was visible to the eye from the rear of our home and he went into the attic to see where the roof was punctured on the inside since it was tarped. As our roof was being torn off, our salesman called and stated they found $2500 worth of additional damage. Since they were mid-replacement, we said to make sure to get photos of the additional damage since it was an *** claim. We promptly paid in good faith, and on February 10th we reached out for the pictures and an itemized **** of the additional damages they told us they were sending. We stayed in contact for several weeks trying to get the requested info for our insurance. On 3/8/22, a lady from the office brought the salesman out, but he passed out in our driveway before they even got to the door. My neighbors called 911, but the salesman woke up and accused another neighbor (who was trying to help him up) of trying to rob him. The lady from the office was yelling at him and made him get into the passenger seat while she came over to me and apologized for his behavior and explained that they were there so that he could show her where the damage was since there werent any photos. She said not to worry, that things would be taken care of by close of business that day. However, all we got was an email (attached) the next day with a slightly more itemized invoice and a note that said they were confident insurance would pay for the additional damage. However, our claim is now closed and insurance refused to pay for the additional damage because there is no proof it existed. I do not know if they were negligent in not taking the pictures or fraudulent in that the damage never existed, but it's definitely unfair practice.

This is not a repair issue and should not had been filed as such. Area Wide Roofing was not contracted to do a repair but rather a full replacement of the asphalt shingle, felt, nails, 2 turbines and decking where needed.Area Wide fulfilled our contractual agreement as stated in the contract signed by both, the complainant and her wife.
A tree did land on their home. As in all cases, fallen trees that land on homes are very obvious; what is not so obvious is the unseen damage. There is absolutely no way to know the extent of damage the structure sustained until the project has begun. It is for this reason all of our clients are made aware, in writing, all unseen work will be at additional cost. To charge for additional work is not only fair but typical for the service industry as a whole. All the work charge to the complainants was performed.Area Wide does NOT participate in fraudulent charges and we take full offense to such accusations.

As for the pictures; we apologize for the length of time it took to find them BUT we did find them. We also submitted the pictures to the insurance company along with the contract and the detailed invoice as a complimentary service.  Not only were the pictures sent to the insurance company but were also provided to the complainant via email along with a detailed invoice and a brief description of the conversation Area Wide had with the desk adjuster.

    We tried.

And here is the thing, well try again. Area Wide adores the communities in which we serve. The complainants have been through a lot and the recovery process is *******, our hearts are with them. We truly wish the insurance company would have provided the complainants with the supplement they desperately deserve; however, the final decision is not ours.
We would be more than happy to conference call with the insurance company to clarify any misunderstanding. This was offered to the complainant when she spoke with one of the owners but she declined. We also communicated with the desk adjuster how to contact us with any questions or concerns but heard nothing back.

It is for these reasons Area Wide Roofing has decided not to issue a refund in any amount.

We wish the complainants all the best and hold no ill feelings. We also wish the insurance company would have made a favorable decision toward the complainants. We know this must be very frustrating but the frustration is misdirected toward Area Wide and should be directed toward the insurance company.

As a side note Area Wide will not participate in any form of conversation directed at the health and welfare of anyone associated with the company past or present.

We have more photos and email correspondence that can be provided
