    ************** Chabills Auto/*****, ********.. I had some car repairs done at the ************. Location. My car was looked at by a claims adjuster and that person was qualified to say what was wrong with my car. When I dropped the car off I felt it would be fixed as it was before they changed shocked/struts, tires, and my car still has that knocking sound when I drive it.. I truly want a refund of the ******* I gave them to get my car back.. Taking them to court is something I don't want to do.. If I have to so be it... I have to Let my Insurance company know about this again

    Houma Location: Chabill's Price Match Guarantee is printed on their website and the wall of their lobby with straight-forward wording and no asterisks or caveats listed. I showed up with the printout of Sam’s Club tire-only price of 985.96 for 4 tires and Chabill’s tire-only price of $1055.96 for 4 tires. I explained that I usually get my tires at Sam's Club but wanted to get my tires at a tire shop this time, because I think I need an alignment as well, and Sam's Club doesn't do alignments. Using their "125% of the difference" guarantee, I was only asking for an $87.50 discount. However, the manager chose not to honor their advertised price match guarantee, stating "I know that Sam's Club is getting the tire cheaper from Michelin and just passing that along to their customers, and I can't undercut that." It took him 20 minutes to reach that conclusion, so I thanked him for trying and started walking to the door as I mumbled to myself, “so much for the advertised price match guarantee". He must have been anxiously anticipating an unfavorable response, because he overheard my mumblings and quickly yelled from across the store "I explained that, and I AM matching their price." From his perspective, they have the same price as Sam’s Club’s regular price, so they are “matched”; and he can’t match their sales price, because he “knows the $70 difference is coming from Michelin”... a whole lot of B.S. not stated in their guarantee. Based on his logic, the Chabill’s Price Guarantee should read “If Chabill's sales price is higher than a local competitor’s regular price, we can guarantee not to match their sales price, but we might match their regular price, which means may still pay more with us.” That was my first time attempting to do business with Chabill’s, and now I understand the unsatisfactory word-of-mouth I’ve encountered. I should have heeded the warnings, but thankful I didn't have to learn a lesson the hard way.
