Door to door sales enrolled me in this community solar program over a year ago promising discounts on our electric bill within a few months time. Over a year later, after I enrolled in a new company and already received credits from the 2nd company, Perch sent me a bill and credited my electricity account. Due to a cap on the amount of solar credits permitted, upon receipt of the email bill on 11/20/24, I immediately cancelled my agreement with Perch Community Solar by email. I received a confirmation email and phone call from the company that my request had been received, but the email stated, Please note that a delay of up to 90 days from the date we receive your termination notice is possible. Changes to community solar allocations can only be made once per month which may impact your local utilitys ability to cease allocating monetary credits to you immediately.90 days is completely unreasonable and terrible customer service. I have been billed three times and short of cancelling my debit card, cannot stop them from billing me. Please warn consumers about their 90 days, which for me will likely mean 4 billing statements AFTER cancellation.

I was forced to Perch Energy as the company I signed with years ago was acquired by Perch. I didn't hear from them for months then started receiving bills that included multiple months payments. I called to complain and was told this was part of the acquisition and it would catch itself up. I notified Perch that I was no longer interstesed in their service. I then received an e-bill ( I want paper) due on 10/19 and they charged my account on 10/4. I called and and complained that it was not ok to charge me 15 days before my due date. I then went into the payment screen to see I have no control over stopping auto pay or changing the due date. I then submitted in writing twice that I was revoking their authority to charge my accounts and to close my Perch account. I have received NO response. Now I need to make a stop payment at ***** and close y debt card to stop them from charging my accounts. The people who work there that I spoke with are not knowledgable and offered no assistance. The web site offers no assistance and emails remain unanswered. I seek to have this account closed and to be reimbursed for the stop payment fee as well as have ensure they document I have revoked permission to access any of my banking accounts.

Better Business Bureau:I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ********. Please add your rejection comments below; if you do not provide any details, your complaint will be closed as Answered.

I have asked for removal of my accounts for autopay on Perch website.  I provided date and time for a phone call to Perch, indicating my phone will block unkown callers and to leave a message. No messages were left, and no alternative phone number provide aside from a non direct line - and they no one called me at the time I provided for a meeting.

When I look at my account it says your Autopay is set for November 5. I then had to make a stop payment on my account, which has cost me $35.00.  I am not able to upload the screen shot of my account showing auto pay is still there.

    Best, **** Nagy

11/21/24 UPDATE- After getting confirmation my account was closed, I paid my closing bill.  I have subsequently (yesterday ) received another bill from this company. As I have terminated this account and closed it out, dealt with them not calling at requested time, it appears I cannot get them to stop harrasing  me.

I was approached by two men outside of my home. I made it clear that I was not interested in anything they were selling. One man said absolutely nothing. The other went on and on saying they dont charge you ANYTHING. they give you money back and credit you. Got into a big conversation with my daughter and was looking stuff up on the phone looking up movie characters. Had my phone in his hands at which point sent a link and even downloaded ****** chrome to my phone that I did not have. And then pressed all of the buttons and did it all as Im standing there saying I am not signing up for any type of programs. I may be an idiot for carrying on the conversation but I never agreed to be any part of any program. I did give him my email address and my phone number but I clearly said about 10 times I do not want to be apart of any programs. Following them leaving I got an email saying welcome to perch solar community. Looked them up and see the tons of bbb complaints and bills people are getting. I also read the terms and conditions and it says you can cancel in writing within 3 days. I called within 1 hour. The woman said it would be canceled and I would get a notification. Never received anything. Called back again that evening. Man said it was canceled and I would eventually get something. Never got anything. WROTE in writing within 3 days of cancellation. Never got any response. I just received my rge bill and there is a small credit on my bill which means they didnt cancel it. I want no part in this program. I repeatedly said I want no part in it and he signed me up anyway. I dont have money when a bill comes later on. I was happy the way it was. And that was my words when he came in my yard. He should be fired. His name is *******. I wish I took a picture of his badge. I need confirmation that my case is closed. I dont even have a account number. I dont have any other information as they never gave me anything. This is not right at all.

In August I paid $1764. Three payments were via credit card and two were via checks, for residential solar power, a small house. I am not sure if I authorized all of the credit card payments or if they were automatically deducted. It was my mistake to pay by check, as well. Perch has a very incomplete website and although my account is being credited, it is not nearly enough money, Sorry, I tried to attach a ****** doc below and was unsuccessful. Calls with customer service have been unclear and confusing
