There has been two incidents where I tried to contact repair and finish the job and he refused to do so. I had the roof done by Castro Construction earlier this year in February 2024. Come the end of April notice there was a section of the under a window not done and still having the old shingles on and along with rotted wood sticking out. I sent Castro a message to repair/ replace the section he refused to come and do the work. I ended up paying someone else $1200 to repair fix the section because it was an immediate repair to protect my home from incoming rain. Now August of 2024, I notice one shingle have been torn off by heavy winds, we had in **********, ** last week. I sent him another message to come and fix but he still refuses to come and repair. I would like to not have to pay someone else to fix this. repair some of the Flashing on windows.

I reject the resolution because we did pay him attached is the check for his payment he took. After work was suppose to be done, I had noticed that work was not done under a window. Attached is the photo of the unfinshed work. Which i ended up paying someone else to finish. Currently all i want is to have him fix the shingle that broke off before more rain comes.

All this happened for this reason, I spoke with the client before starting the work that I was going to charge extra for layers of shingles, she told me that yes I was going to pay extra for layers but when we started working that house had 4 layers of shingles so I said you have so many layers do I have to charge extra, she told me yes, but the next day when I was finished working her father arrived and told me that they were not going to pay for extra layers of shingles, and they did not pay me. I worked for free with so much suffering, it was a very difficult house to work on and they did not pay me.

During the walk through we had a verbal conversation where removing ****** was mentioned. To my understanding this was included in the pricing of the contract. He mentions that the removal of each layer would be priced at 400. After getting to the job site he then verbally quoted us $1000 per a layer in addition to what was on our contract, because he decided the work was too difficult even though he was well aware of the job.
