    This place I arrrived to on August 22, 2023 was nothing like the pictures provided. It was absolutely disgusting & the manager was very rude. The bed had cigarette *****, the ac was so gross & smelt terrible, there was old food left in the fridge, the rug was peeling up & so filthy there was change on it like it hadn't been vacuumed, the rug made my duaghters pants black just from sitting on it. The door looked like it was kicked in. The pool was filthy on the bottom and so cloudy, along with having an exploded diaper all on the deck. The smell in the room was terrible and reaked of cigarettes. refused refund and offered a different room that was just as bad. Broken handles on the dresser with screws sticking out, the ac filter was so caked up like it hadn't been cleaned in months. a faulty extension cord ran through the middle of the room. The shower had what looked like black mold on it along with the Ac. The beds felt so gross and wreaked of terrible mildew. Manager very rude and wouldn't answer my calls, and hung up on expedia along with possible drug use on the sight. not safe for my children at all

    I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint. They have refused to answer the phones and deny the photos I have as accurate

    absolutely filthy and frankly dangerous. many toothless tweakers live there. no blankets, burn holes in the sheets. no deadbolt, only a door that'd clearly been kicked in/******* multiple times. people partying in the parking lot til all hours (folks that live there). a pool that seemed to be dyed blue, as i couldn't see my friends legs in like 3' of water. no chlorine smell whatsoever. the expedia photos must be at least a decade old. barrels of trash left overflowing throughout the property. filthy shower and ******. lamp ripped out of the wall and not replaced. burn marks in the carpet. lobby STINKS of cat pee. single bulb without a cover. filthy armchair that we had to shove against the door as some sort of security. weeds 2' high in the pool deck patio. pool chairs filthy. after learning about significant credit card fraud on their part, i requested the piece of paper with my card number to be returned to me. they said it was against policy. holes in the wall that were somewhat filled in but not repainted. we were super freaked out and would have left but couldn't afford to pay at another place - all reviews say that they never give a refund. DO NOT GO HERE. IT SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN. the powers that be need to revoke their license to operate. truly a disgusting experience.

    See below for facts surrounding this business:- On June 25, 2023 I booked a motel on the Orbitz.com website for Jonathan Edwards Motel located at Dennisport, ** - Orbitz itinerary: Orbitz itinerary: ************** for the date: July 3-4, 2023 - When my wife and I checked in the room it had a very strong CIGARETTE odor and as we stood in the room for fewer than 5 minutes we had to leave because the odor immediately triggered my asthma. When we stepped out of the room, we decided not to stay as the situation is not pleasant for our health. - The owners of the motel did not take any steps to mitigate the cigarette smell in the room which had a strong nicotine and other chemicals which according to to *************** is a potential health hazard which necessitated our cancelation of the booking which was also non refundable. - ************* General Laws strictly prohibits smoking to include hotels/motels: ***************************************************************************** - Orbitz.com and Jonathan Edwards Motel have a duty to provide a room that is safe to it's guests and both parties have breached their responsibility by not mitigating the premises from cigarette smoke - I am requesting a full refund of $153.48

    Reserved a room through groupon. We called in advance to confirm our booking which was confirmed but upon arrival we were told that the reservation did not exist and that they did not use groupon for any if their bookings. The amount was taken out if my account weeks prior and groupon stated it was paid directly to the motel. Groupon called the hotel and was told I canceled the reservation so they would not refund my money. When I called the hotel they again told me they do not reserve rooms thru groupon and never use their services and that I would need to contact groupon for a refund. When I asked to speak to the manager she said he only comes once a month and she has no number to contact him which she identified as only Edward when asked for his name. Their ad is still currently up on groupon and several other booking forums despite being told that they only use booking. Com and Expedia exclusively. I asked her to take my name and number to give to the manager which she agreed then after my name and number were given and I asked herto repeat them she said to hold while she got a pen. I have read several online complaints since that claim they were charged 6 months after and or no refunds in situations similar to mine. I have screen shots on my work computer that I would be happy to upload tomorrow showing my groupon account and the transaction paying the hotel for my reservation.

    I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint. I have tried calling several times and am still being told that the owner is not in and they have no contact info for him. I have since found the name of the owner, Usha  and *********************** who live in ******* MA which is not the Edward name given to me nor does he live out of state like the Manager I spoke with previously stated.  The still insist that they do not use Groupon for bookings yet their as is still currently listed on Groupon. I have sent an email to their website listed email address with a snippit of the Groupon Voucher and still no response. It is my belief that the managers are pocketing the money they receive from Groupon and re-renting the room thru other booking sites. They claimed to only use 2 booking sites but their hotel is listed with several booking sites all over the internet. I feel as though they may honor their bookings with the 2 they have listed but claim cancellations with the other forums after being paid.

    Customer was told correctly. We only do business with booking.com and Expedia. We dont do business with Groupon. So if she paid Groupon we would not refund her because she paid Groupon. They collected her money. We do not have her money so we would not refund it. That is between her and Groupon. We cant control what others sell on their websites. That is something she has to talk to Groupon about. As gas as Ive seen there has been no other complaints from someone booking through Groupon. So I believe this customer is mistaken when she claims shes seen other Groupon complaints. Please direct me to any one of them. Because none exist you wont find one. Groupon is a big company and they will always refund or give credit to you for somewhere else. So this customer did not loose any money just feels like complaining.
