    I need a replacement for a defective part for a Rikon bandsaw. In May of 2021 I contacted their parts department because the part was on backorder for a long time, and they told me the part would be available soon. I followed up several times but the company kept giving me new dates/timeframes for when the part would be available. My last couple of requests have gone unanswered. I have not been rude or unreasonably demanding (see uploaded e-mail chain). I know that Rikon still makes the model of bandsaw I have -- you can order a new machine online or by catalog. I just want to buy the part that they're making for the equivalent machine. Their treatment of my request(s) has been unacceptable. In the meantime I have had work building up that I need the bandsaw for.

    Thanks you for your engagement with Rikon Tools.
    Not long after you contacted them, they sent a replacement for the defective part in the mail, with a zero-balance-due invoice enclosed. I had actually expected to pay for the replacement part, so this was a pleasant surprise.
    Rikon's response satisfies my concern in reference to complaint #********. I understand that by choosing to accept the business response that my complaint will be closed as resolved.
