I hired Chris L (CLPM Turf Services) for lawn care at two homes. Both homes had a seeding/remediation portion and a full-season lawn care program. Issues with over-watering, difficulty getting Chris to show up/respond, and a general disappointment in results, we decided to stop the service. As I paid for a full season of service, I asked for a refund only for the work that would not be completed. He refused to return the money, and has no stopped responding to queries. From invoices attached and quotes, the program is described as: Components missing from application 1 are: Neither of the 2 (4 if including both properties) ph tests were conducted. The lawns were not inspected and treated for insects or other stress factors. Broad leaf control control was not completed. The thatch was not corrected. Being generous, that is 1 month completed of the 8 month program for each. Based on the quotes/invoices, that should come to a refund of $1575 for my yard and $1398.60 for ****** yard.

    Business response

I was contracted by ************************* to service both his home at ************************************************ as well as his significant other's home at *****************************************************************. ********************** had contracted my services for my expertise in the turf care industry as they both felt they were not qualified to handle their lawn care needs. I explained to ********************** that fertilizer programs take a minimum of 2 years to achieve tangible results. During my time servicing these properties, I was extremely communicative both with ********************** and his significant other via text message as well as making multiple site visits well beyond our contract (see attached documents). Through the fertilization program and additional lawn enhancement projects, I was able to turn Mr. ********** lawn (63 Oak) from bare soil and heavy amounts of weeds to a green lawn within a months time (see photos attached).

I was accused by Mr. ********** significant other (**********************) multiple times for not being knowledgable in my field but I was also accused multiple times of over watering her lawn. Upon multiple site inspections and communications with ******, I was able to confirm that my irrigation system was operating correctly. ****** however, was still extremely adamant that my system was faulty. Although unnecessary, as per their request I installed a new timer to help alleviate any concern. ****** also felt that the hoses set up for her irrigation were damaging the lawn underneath. I advised her that the hoses would have no effect on the turf below. Ignoring my expertise, ****** requested hose hoops be added to her property to raise the hoses above the lawn. This was installed and approved by ****** upon completion. These are just some of many examples example of the quality of service I provided for both ********************** and ******.

After countless efforts on my end to please and provide the best quality of service to both ********************** and his significant other. On July 2nd, 2023 ********************** terminated our contract via text message. At this time he requested a refund for services not rendered. I did not deny his request, I explained to ********************** I would calculate if he would get any refund when my schedule allowed. This refund would be calculated from fertilizer services preformed subtracting any additional work and site visits that had not been invoiced to him yet. ********************** continuously harassed me via text message including on holidays and well beyond normal business hours. Examples include Sunday 7/2/23 at 10:34pm, July 4th and Saturday August 12th at 9:10pm. ********************** also threatened to diminish my businesses credibility and reputation by filing claims with the Better Business Bureau and filing a lawsuit against me and my company - which he has followed through on. I have not been permitted to retrieve the irrigation system on loan for ******* property as it has been removed.

Upon completing the report of services rendered to ********************** for their fertilizer programs, additional services provided including site visits, hose riser installation and the replacement cost for my irrigation system. ********************** currently owes CLPM $3278.90.
