    Berkshire Bank caught a fraudulent attempt to use my debit card and closed my card.Representative advised she would issue a new card and that I would receive it in 7 business days. I did not.I called the bank only to find out they had not issued me a new card! I requested the representative to overnight me a new card. I brought the issue to her supervisor. Supervisor advised that it is not their policy to overnight a card to a customer.I am home bound and cannot go to my local branch. Supervisor advised me they will expedite my card and I will get it in 3 business days. There's a weekend in there so actually 5 days.I asked to speak to someone who had the authority to override the policy but I was denied.This has affected me greatly. My son had to pay for my prescriptions and if I didn't have ******, I wouldn't be able to pay my grocery delivery service and would be without food!

    Complaint against Berkshire Bank - Christine W****-Branch Mrg. Hebron CT. I called the branch on July 5, 2024. Christine answered (the new manager). I used to deal with Darleen the Assistant Mrg. but she was off that day (my wife and I knew her well and she would have let me discuss my wife's accounts with my wife's approval on the phone). My wife and I verified who we where. My wife asked if I could talk about an IRA CD in her name that is maturing on July 13. Christine said no. She was very rude to us both. She was talking to me like a High School Principal and I was in detention. I just wanted a special CD rate like we both got on June 1. I called the customer service # on Monday July 8 and made a complaint. I talked to a customer service manager. He said he would write a complaint and have someone get back to me. The next day I called customer service again after no one called me. They said a Regional Mgr. that is in charge of the Hebron, CT would call me back. That didn't happen. I called customer service again. They said the Regional Mgr. was busy. On July 10 went to Citizens Bank in Old Lyme, CT and did the paper work to transfer fund from Berkshire Bank to ******** Bank. Over $500K. I called Darleen on July 12. She didn't ask me for the verification question because she knew me. I called her to close a checking account. She did it and was very nice to me. She should be the manager of Hebron, CT. I don't think Berkshire Bank even cares that I closed my account due to the rudeness of Christine W****. When I called customer service after we both verified who we where with my wife's permission the let me discuss her accounts but they said branches have their own rules. Branches and Corporate should be on the same page. I was a customer for over 10 years. To resolve this issue I would like Nitin M***** the CEO to contact me.

    Terrible Application that doesnt properly track dispersion of funds. Should be investigated for fraud. Doesnt respond to customer service complaints either.

    Drive up windows are closed regularly now. Please hire help and pay a living wage so you are fully staffed and able to offer all services. Elderly, disabled and those in a hurry rely on this method of banking.

    The app is terrible. It takes 3 days or more to process things out of your acct. It used to be 24 hours. I've had something paid on a Thursday come out on a Tuesday. The balance the it reflects is not correct. After checking my available and current balance after each transaction so I know how much I should have left. I woke up this morning to a negative **** and it makes no sense. I don't like that you are telling me I have a different amount of money than I actually do. So many people I know have been going in the negative because the way they process things. Not sure why any other bank it shows next day what was pending and hard posted and also other banks show the transactions even if pending. 10/10 do not recommend. I am closing my account and going elsewhere

    Explained everything in detail. Very friendly. Lots of options on products available. So far so good, then the shocker. BUT... 2-3 weeks later, What happened? My first snail mail deposit was not credited to my account. Phone goes unanswered or hangs up. NOT a good start. Checks arrived ok; bank does NOT offer pre-stamped mailing envelopes. Having my doubts now if this was a good bank selection.

    This bank conveniently lost 20k from 2 trusts they knew in advance would be closing soon. Their "investment" team lost this money in an ETF I believe, that loses value when when interest rates climb! Which they had been steadily doing. How could you with any sort of integrity show somebody you put their money in the stock knowing what makes it move and the market conditions that a simple ****** search could have informed them about. So what's glaringly obvious is they helped themselves to some money from a closing trust. That or the same people making money pretty consistently for that bank somehow accidentally bought the wrong stocks? I highly doubt it. So I start going through old trust paperwork. They never made a dollar for a multimillion dollar trust over about 10 years. But they did manage to pull almost 5k a month in fees for trades. Which for some reason they insisted on doing at the beginning and end of every month. They are crooks and I'm going to make sure it comes out.

    Recently I had an issue with my bill pay. My account went into the negative due to my mortgage being paid twice. While trying to resolve the issue, the representative was laughing. She knew I was very stressed out, but continued to laugh. Very unprofessional business.

    I think this bank is beyond pathetic, good luck getting ahold of the department, trying find a open brach is like a wheres Waldo. Gy grandfather has a trust .that me my father and cousins recieve monthly funds. This department is impossible to get ahold of, make a appointment only for there be no appointments available. My and my father share the same name. This bank has caused problems by me withdrawing using my own license only to have my father think I accessed his money on purpose when in fact it was the negligence of berkshire bank. ***********************. If I could leave zero stars I would. Out of all the banks I've been to this is the worst...
