On November 4th, 2024, Climatech in ******, managed by ******* *****, got into contract to install a high velocity heat pump in our home. The invoice for the work totaled $37,000 dollars, which I paid using my credit card. Climatech employees started the installation of the heat pumps, working for several days in a roll. Then ******* ***** informed me that in order to finish the job, I will need to upgrade our electric panel to 200 amps or " provide a subunit" that would power the new heat pumps. The electric panel was upgraded almost immediately, within days of ********* advice. Informed of the upgraded electric panel, ******* promised that he would send his technicians to finish the job, but they never showed up and it's been more than two months. He has ignored or randomly replied to my phone calls and emails. Once, he gave me date that he would send his technicians, only after my wife used another person's phone to contact him. The technicians never arrived. I even contacted ***** *****, then owner of the company, who attempted resolve the issue, to no avail. We have been without heat in home since November. We have had to rely on multiple space heaters to heat our home, which is not sufficient. We're helpless at this point, given that we have made every effort to have this company complete the job that has already been paid for.

On December 19th 2023, we employed Climatech LLC to install a heatpump system at our home. This complaint is about the a $1900 charge (included in the original invoice) that we paid for, for installing a humidifier. Climatech has not installed a humidifier and has not issued a refund for the amount despite 9 requests over text and phone calls. The business has admitted that a refund is due, and for the last 3 months, *******, the business owner has been saying that he will send out a check but he never does.It is out of frustration, I am requesting help from the BBB.An comment about our experience:We made the mistake of making the final payment before the work was completely finished and after making the payment, the work virtually stopped. For making any progress we have had to make numerous calls to *******, the business owner. After 5 Months (mid April) Climatech finally installed a working heatpump. Our experience with climatech has been absolutely dismal, and even now the system is giving us problems - there is a lot of vibration and noise when the system is running. The contract includes 1 year free service, however on average it takes us 4-5 follow up messages and about a month before a service technician shows up. Whenever someone shows up, they have to run off quickly for a another job (or for some personal engagement in ********). The excuse we get for not making it into their scheudl is that "we have some heat and so we are less of a priority" than their other clients who do not have heat.Climatech needs to keep their commitment to providing timely service.

Nov 16, 2021 dropped off a check for $14,550 at Climatech LLC - To Replace my furnace, air handler unit, and AC coil. Create 2 zones, install 2 thermostats, and seal basement joints. Dec 29, 2021 they removed and installed the new furnace along with the new Ac coil however they did not install new thermostats and promised to return with them.Jan 28, 2022 they installed the Wi-Fi thermostat.Feb 15, 2022 I found out that my daughters room was colder than my room. I reported the problem rooms on the 2nd floor are not heating as they should.Feb 16, 2022 Someone came to assess the problem and identified 3 rooms that were not zoned correctly. They were connected to the 1st floor zone and not on the 2nd floor. They informed me that would go get additional material and return but this did not happen.March 3, 2022 I was told I will have to pay for the additional material that is required to complete zoning the 3 rooms. An estimate was provided for $2500 to complete this job. However As per contract (see contract) and discussions, I was assured that the first floor and the second floor will be separated with their own thermostat. Secondly After working with another contractor to install the Air condition system, it was brought to my attention that the coil installed by Climatech was a smaller unit than what was previously installed. The replacement would be a 4-ton AC system as the current system with a 4-ton coil matching coil. However, what was installed by Climatech was a 3Ton coil that cannot work with a 4-Ton AC condenser. I would like the rooms to be properly zoned, ie all the 2nd-floor rooms should be properly separated and controlled by the 2nd-floor thermostat, while the first-floor rooms are controlled by the 1st-floor thermostat.I also want the replacement of the current 3-ton AC coil to the correct size (4-ton AC coil) that will accommodate a 4-ton ac system.

Upon initial inspection it was relay to the home owner that to zone correctly would involve construction to the top two floors of the home witch they did not want to do. This is normal when zoning a home that has been installed compliantly on a one zone system. We did all due diligence to rectify the problem . We will come back and zone correctly if possible. Upon inspection of the old outdated less efficiency furnace and coil it was found that 3 tons of cooling was adequate for the job. We will call to schedule if you would like a 4 ton installed. It is important to know that the contractor/ builder installed all the previous duct work and furnace in a less than appropriate manner, (example: exhaust incorrect, there is no way that two floor home should have been on one single zone originally.) We will be happy to come back and address any issues Climatech left unanswered. We deeply apologize and take full responsibility for any inconvenience. Please contact ******* with any questions ************.
