NACA, from a sellers perspective, is a complete nightmare. If you are selling a home and get an offer with NACA as the lender I STRONGLY recommend turning it down. They take minimum 60 days to close, their inspectors are horrible to work with, and they continually add items that are needed when not mentioned prior. We are now 30 days beyond the original closing date and have been under contract for 90 days. Absolutely ridiculous and no sense of urgency. Horrible experience all the way around and all parties involved (buyers agent, buyers, and listing agent) feel the same way This is costing me thousands of dollars in additional repairs that were never agreed upon on the purchase contract and additional mortgage payments we did not anticipate to make. Just had my first appointment with my NACA counselor! I'm in the market for my first home and struggling to understand all of the intricacies of the complex purchase process. Luckily my counselor, *****, has explained everything in a way that I can easily understand and took her time to ensure I am set up for long term success. Can't wait to get my pre-approval and start shopping!

A good friend recommended that I work with NACA to buy my first home and I have been blown away by the program! Many people say it seems too good to be true, there are many, many benefits to going through this program: no closing costs, no mortgage insurance, no down payment required, etc. There really is no catch- it just takes time, dedication, some hard work, and a great counselor! My counselor, *****, has been unbelievably helpful. She has worked very hard with me to get me qualified, and I am currently in the housing search. I learned about NACA through a friend. I started my process the moment I completed my home buyers workshop. I was very excited and went home on the NACA portal and began gathering my information. September 14th, 2024, I started uploading my paperwork to the portal. My counselor Faith Beach has provided me with step-by-step instructions on what paperwork I need. Where applicable, she informs me where to find it. I am on my third set of information needed. I am getting excited as I knock out item by item. I look forward to becoming pre-approved for the NACA Mortgage. Then Ill be Ready For The Housing Search, Yeah. Working with Ms. Beach my counselor is great, I have a direct person to ask and answer all my questions.Review from Fran Q

O I rate the program as poor from a buyers standpoint. In selling my house, I received and accepted an offer from an individual who is usually NACA. It's getting late in the season so I was hoping to have the closing as soon as possible, however, after holding things ip for weeks, the buyer backed out because of NACA. Now my house is back on the market again after loosing precious weeks. If a buyer is going to be using NACA going forward, I will immediately tell them that I will not accept their offer.Review from Janinne C

I've completed the NACA homebuyer workshop and have just completed my initial counselor appointment and am very thankful she was very knowledgeable, patient, friendly, and helpful during the whole process to ensure we provide all the documentation needed. The NACA homebuyer workshop was a great introduction to the home buying process. The workshop covered everything from budgeting to securing a mortgage in an accessible and detailed manner. The presenters were knowledgeable and answered all questions with patience. I felt much more prepared to move forward, thanks to the clarity and support provided in the workshop.
