Installed a new heating system and a humidifier. The humidifier never worked, I contacted him over twenty times in the last six months and he never showed up to fix it. Finally he started making a threats for me to stop calling him again!

This is  Roger from Martins Mechanical Inc. And today I like to explain that I was hired by Mr************ to install a High efficient Heat Pump system by Trane which was completely done except for starting a Central humidifier already installed. I was out of work due to health issues and Mr ************* called me several times when I was at the Hospital. One day still sick I went to his house to start the humidifier and no-one was home so I left a business card on his door. Him being so aggressive with words I decided not to accomplish anything beyond this point.I would be more than happy to pay someone to get it done. Please let me know. Thank you.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

I attached a copy of the many text messages that I sent to him. I was texting him twice a week for a 2-3 months period and he never showed up.  Below is a screenshot of the texts. The humidifier ($2000) never turned on.  The heating system ($16,000) stopped working after a few months and I had to bring another company to fix it (even though his contract shows a 2 year warranty)

I kept calling him, and eventually he started threatening me. Per verbatim he said "if you call me one more time, you don't know what I will do to you!". And that is when I stopped contacting him. I believe the next step is going to the attorneys general's office and pursuing the legal route with him!

Please let me know if you have any questions !

    Sincerely,

              Martins Mechanical Inc.

This is getting to the point where the client is making up a unreal situation! The Unit had issues in the beginning but everything was resolved by Martins Mechanical. The Humidifier was installed and just needed to be started.

As I mentioned before I will not get it started myself due to the kind of treatment I received from the client but I will be more than happy to pay someone to get it done.

             Thank you.

roger installed a heat pump for our house. At the time he was renting his office space from my family, in laws to be precise. they are property owners, so roger rented space from them. He owed 11 grand, so he agreed to take some of my money and repay my father in law for rent, so a win win. the issues were many, but here were the 2 biggest. he leaves, and tells me its all set. A plumber comes over and says, your heat pump is on the ground, it has to be above the ground or its going to be sitting in its own condensation, and rain water etc. its also loud, did he make the space from the duct to the machine x number of inches by x number of inches?. i of course have no idea. so I ask roger to 1) raise it and 2) make sure the supply space is wide enough. (in order to do this, he has to undo a lot and get back in there because the simple answer was the space was not anywhere close to spec./ So he comes back, and i say id like the pump 6 inches above ground. he says 6? its supposed to be 10! well if you knew that Roger, then why is it on the ground?? the answer is simple, he wasnt making money on the job per se, it was going to rent, so he major short cutted the 11000 dollar job. so he raises it, but rather than widening the space, he adds another return and says he wont charge me. the extra return does nothing for the loudness of the pump. he knows these machines better than i and he knows the plumber is correct, the way to do it is undo some of the duct work, widen the space and now enough air get through, PEr Spec, so its not jet engine loud. but he says the register will do the trick, -it didnt. so i asked him to widen the space, he said NO. he did send some of the money for rent, then he departed the location owing several thousand $ of rent,. i assumed he went out of business. i paid the plumber over 500. i see now hes still in biz and i now want him to pay some of the costs i incurred due to shoddy workmanship.

We installed the equipment with the existing ductwork, and the unit needed a better return supply, which we added. We came back and added an extra return supply with no additional cost, but the client kept complaining and made the report.

I am rejecting this response because:***** is either not intelligent, or just really sneaky.  yes did as he stated, he put in a new return, the noise persisted however. it was not until a plumber took apart his work and saw the short cuts he took, that led him to open the access way , so more air could get thruouh.  ***** literally cut a hole about a 32 oz bottle bottom in diameter, , to allow the air thru.  the plumber showed me, the edges were jagged and sharp,  he said he had never seen anyone pull something like this.     in any event, i paid the plumber and asked ***** to help defray the cost.  he started pleading how poor he is.  sorry, but i happen to know his situation, he used to rent from my family,  constantly coming up with reasons why he cant pay this month, rthen he leaves oweing 30 grand and buys a house for over 750K.     im done with him, thank you for at least pursuingthis matter to this point, hopefuly others wont be deceived like i was.

    Sincerely,
