Very poor communication with this company. We were assigned to them by our *********** and it has been great until it was time for SSDI hearing, they never had anyone reach out prior to hearing until I called the day before to find out and ask questions regarding the hearing process and what to expect. Now since my hearing I have reached out with questions or uodates I have received different information each time that doesn't match to the prior information given. Doesn't really seem like they know what's going on .

DON'T waste your ************* on or with these people! They are inept and irresponsible for starters! If there was a minus 10 star score that would even be too good!We reached out to them over a year ago for my son because they came highly recommended. Biggest mistake ever!!Because of their ineptness he was forced to fill out the paperwork not one, not two but THREE times and then told his claim was refused due to a CLERICAL ERROR!!How can they sleep at night knowing they are messing with people's lives and potential only source of income when someone has a disability. They never return calls & never have a plausible explanation!LIke a bunch of politicians very quick to pass the buck, not apologize for their mess *** and expect clients to take it and move on.If you are smart you will look elsewhere for help!

Thank you for this input; we recognize and appreciate the complex nature of the social security disability process. The criteria to be awarded Social Security benefits can be confusing and, at times drawn out.  Unfortunately, I cannot speak to specifics as I am unable to review the record as there is not a claim associated with your name and you did not provide your sons contact information. Please contact our office to discuss your concerns.

I was set up with Brown and Brown through my employer when I went on *** for breast cancer. They seemed helpful until I received benefits from SSD. B and B initiated the refund payment to *** and said what was remaining was mine to keep. Months later they contacted me to advise MORE money was owed to *** bc B and B had MISCALCULATED what was owed - to the tune of $5,000!! How do you miss $5,000???! Now I am in a financially stressful situation trying to figure out how to pay this back when B and B was supposed to be my advocator. I am distraught and would absolutely not recommend using them as they cannot seem to be able to do basic math. I wish I had not been awarded anything at all.

Complete scam artists. I have terminal stage 4 metastasized breast cancer. They told me that I qualified for SSDIs 2-month compassion clause. Months go by, not a word. I finally called them and they said-maybe you dont qualify, we should probably call and check. Umm, ya think? At that point I had no income for months, no insurance, had been out of treatment as I couldnt pay, and was being evicted.I later found out that companies like this drag it out as low by as they can do that they make more money. I had them close the case and asked for a letter to confirm. And it took another 6-8 weeks to get that email. I checked with SSDI and the case was never closed.

Thank you for this input; we recognize and appreciate the strain of a diagnosis such as this and wish you nothing but the best. The criteria to be awarded a Social Security benefit can be confusing and, at times drawn out. One of the key criteria is that the applicant must have been out of work for 12 months or longer. According to our records, your application did not meet some of the essential criteria for an award. Based on this, we have closed your file in our system.

Thank you for sharing this comment. Every client that works with us signs a fee agreement prior to work starting and we go over that in detail such that clients understand to what they are agreeing. Our fees are statutorily regulated and are completely consistent with all advocates that represent clients on a claim. We do not charge any fee if an award is not granted.

I do not suggest Brown and Brown to anyone. They did do work for me, I'll admit, but as far as I know it was just submitting paperwork I collected for them from my doctors/hospitals. I give them a 2 star instead of 1 star because I will not misrepresent and say that they messed up my case, but I am confident that I would have been better off with any other disability representative. They worked to get the backpay, since they would be receiving a percentage of that as payment, but as soon as that was done, they completely dropped the case and left me in the cold to try and appeal for ongoing benefits.

Thank you for your input on our management of your case. Per our records, we submitted all forms and requests from Social Security on time and to completion. We also secured, paid for, and submitted all pertinent medical records, and provided you copies as well, on request. In certain circumstances, SSA requires submission of information directly from the claimant and, in those instances, we did request that from you. Our final case notes do not indicate your interest in filing an appeal.

I wish I had chosen another advocate earlier on. It takes multiple calls before I get a response from designated advocate. I have a phone hearing approaching soon and have yet to hear from the advocate regarding strategy, etc. As this is a matter of my income I am very concerned at this point.

    ************** -

We appreciate your feedback. In reviewing your records, we see that this scheduled hearing is a third attempt to represent your claim in front of an Administrative Law Judge (***). We can confirm that your attorney for this hearing has been prepped to represent you.

Unfortunately, you missed the two prior scheduled hearings with no notice. Because of that, the *** is mandating that this be an in person hearing. If you need transportation assistance to the courthouse, please let us know and we will make arrangements.

In reviewing the notes on your claim, we see that we've been regularly in touch throughout the process and we've given you information repeatedly on what to expect from the process, including the length of time required for a decision.

Should you have any questions heading into your upcoming hearing, please feel free to contact us.

Little to no communication during my two and a half year disability claim. A total waste of time. I would go months and not hear a thing. Finally, after contacting my district rep, he got it pushed through. Now they phone daily in attemp to get money back to ****************** ************* they do nothing! Find an attorney or state representative to assist you and don't get within 10 feet of these frauds!

****************** - We are disheartened to learn that you are dissatisfied with our services. In a review of your record, we see that we were able to process and get your claim awarded in under two years and, during that time, made multiple attempts to contact you for updates. You were unresponsive to those efforts. We are now in the stage of processing the final pieces of your claim and it is time to reimburse your carrier for the funds they paid you while you were applying. We have reached out to your only once to discuss this matter, but we will need to follow up, as this is a critical obligation as part of your policy. Thank you in advance for understanding.

I am shocked that Brown and Brown is taking credit for getting my benefits. I am confident that you had nothing to do with it. I finally reached out to my state representative and provided THEM with the necessary documentation, including letters from my doctors. I am at late stage advanced heart failure and nothing you did could get me benefits. Finally, I took my fight elsewhere and received help. You can't take credit for what you did not do! As far as contacting me, I have one e-mail and three phone messages from ****** including one time when I actually spoke to someone. All of these took place in the last week. I am not sure where you get that you contacted me one time, but that is not true. When I was calling you to get updates on my claim, your response was always "no new developments". I called multiple times and was given the same answer. I think you should take a closer look at your records. Now, you are repeatedly contacting me for my lump sum payment from Social Security, but you are requesting $3000.00 MORE than I received from them. I would definitely warn anyone about Brown and Brown AND ****************** The help and assistance I received was much less than I was promised.
