I have used JFC Pros on residential rehabilitation projects (flipping) and projects in my own home. They recently remodeled a bathroom in my house, which I get so many compliments on. The workers are considerate and clean up after each day's work. I am a repeat customer.

I had a small job repairing the overhang on a commercial building that was recently damaged by an oversized truck. I had contacted another contractor that initially looked at the job and never got back to me. I contacted JFCpros and sent them a few photos of the damage. That same day Joe went by the site and evaluated the job. I met with him and went over what he found during his evaluation later that day and the next day he provided me with a quote. He handled all the permitting and interaction with the town departments, which were particularly trying as they requested architect building plans prior to issuing the permit. Fortunately he had an architect that he frequently worked with and the plans were generated the next day and successfully submitted. Despite the added town requirement the job was started within a couple days and finished within a week. The quality of the work was great and the repair was well matched to the original building finishes. Joe kept me up to date on every project milestone and worked through all the town department requests. I would not hesitate to contact him for future projects. He was really positive and a pleasure to work with.

Recent, verifiable CUSTOMER. I made the grave mistake of signing with JFC Pros on 7/29/23 to build a basic composite deck. Company violated Massachusetts General Law 142A - Required Contract Terms In A Home Improvement Contract - JFC Pros contract dictates 60% of total project cost due upfront, as we found out too late, Massachusetts law clearly states no more than 1/3 of total project cost can be owed upfront. In addition, the contract did not have a set timeline and company did not purchase all materials prior to start of project, per Massachusetts law. https://www.mass.gov/info-details/required-contract-terms-in-a-home-improvement-contract As I learned the hard way, those regulations are in place for a reason. I paid 90% of the total project cost for just the frame. The deck boards were not purchased until November 2023. I had to threaten to contact the Massachusetts Attorney General for JFC Pros to purchase my already paid for decking material. After that, partial material arrived and the poor craftsmanship issues started. In addition to the poor workmanship, we experienced 3 months of electrical issues to hard wire the deck post lights and set up one outdoor outlet. I spent hours micromanaging an unlicensed and mostly unsupervised electrician. Eight months from signing the contract, JFC Pros refused to replace the decking boards that his crew greatly damaged and against my consent, sent his crew to use the compromised material and cut around the damaged sections of the decking boards. I refused to accept boards cut and installed at haphazard lengths (not agreed upon during signing of the contract) and was forced to obtain legal representation and pursue an HIC compliant with the state. JFC Pros refuses to own their mistakes and rectify poor workmanship by their subcontractors. I spent more than double the contractual cost for this very simple deck. If the project was properly managed, I would not be writing a 1 star review.

Traumatizing experience from start to finish. For months my property was ripped apart with no care, no respect, no supervision. Unskilled workers sent in lieu of professionals creating three new problems for every one simple task. I never want these people back on my property. I have zero confidence in the structure they built. The sunroom was supposed to be built one step up above the grade. Joe changed the plans and submitted a completely different plan to the building department permit site, a sloppy sketch of a smaller room, with smaller windows, completely different than what we discussed. Then he built into the dirt and said the inspectors wouldn't allow one step up, come to find out after they built the room, this was not true. The building inspector would not pass the sunroom unless they excavated the yard to bring the grade below the room, which took on a whole new level of disaster and water damage, ripping up my yard, including my patio. Surprise, I now have water damage in the entryway next to the new construction ?? and a hideous wall through the middle of my yard, which they had to install to prevent further flooding. I would describe this experience as a nightmare, months of the highest level of anxiety one could have. The amount of threats and harassment I had to endure just to get them to finish the project became a weekly norm. Absolutely hire this company if you want to spend all your free time cleaning up after a daily hazardous work site and overseeing every detail as the mistakes pile up. Expect to hear every excuse in the book of why there is no supervision, why no one shows up, why there is no GM signing for things, or following protocol for the way things should be done. Expect to have every corner cut, every subcontractor doing the bare minimum just to pass inspection. Expect to be hounded for money, even after they take the majority of the project.

In response to anyone reading this review from ***** *******. Here are some things that were not anticipated and we did: -Reframe windows 3 times $1,000 value (Windows were designed to be smaller the client bought bigger windows that did not match the design approved by the building department). -Reframe beam $500 value (She simply did not like the beam and asked to raise it) -Excavation $2,500 value (After the porch was built the Building inspector noticed that the wall was too close to grade, this was how the old porch was before. Since we were only allowed to build the new porch same size and measurements of the old porch the solution was to excavate the grade to make sure the grade meets current code.) -Cinder blocks under porch $1,500 value (Suggested after work began by GC , approved and requested by the client) -Gravel around poch $500 value ( during the excavation the gravel had to be removed to lower the grade. Since the old gravel was dirty and mixed with soil we had to purchase and add new gravel -Storm water management system $7,500 value (After excavation we had a day where we got a lot of rain and we noticed that the water stayed in the newly excavated area. To remediate the problem we excavated a trench around the porch and extended the trench. Over 100 feet out from the porch towards the side yard, in the trench we added a perforated pipe, covered with gravel, gutters and downspouts were added and connected to the pipes. At the very end of the pipe we added a dry-well tank dug 3 ft under the ground surrounded with more gravel to remediate water from rain.) -Grass seeding $1,000 (Damaged due to machinery while excavating) -1 extra exterior light labor $100 (original scope was 1 light , client requested 2) -Repairs on existing siding $300 (Siding installation included only in the new porch but the client found some areas in the existing house that needed to be repaired and requested these repairs. -Repairs on existing home roof $200 (Work left behind by previous contractor client requested us to fix) -Step and landing in the garage $500 (Client purchased the door leading to the garage with wrong orientation, the solution was to build a landing in the garage to comply code) -Architect fees saved $2,500 value (In the contract the client agreed to pay for architect plans fees, The contractor did the plans and the plans were approved by the building department) -Patio rebuild $4,500 (Because the inspector requested the excavation the existing patio had to be removed, we carefully removed the patio to be re-used but the client decided to dispose the old patio. The client also wants the new patio to be built bigger and wrap around the new patio. In good faith and to resolve all matter and end this relationship peacefully we are offered to pay for the labor to build the patio where it was before and the client would pay separately for the new areas and the client would provide all necessary materials. The total cost of the labor was $8,500 we would be paying for $4,500 and the client would pay for the remaining $4,000.00). -The retaining wall extra work outside the porch was a request from the building inspector was performed and passed all building inspections $6,000 Total $28,600 In the end she ended up having a lot of work done and refused to pay for any of the extra work. We suggest the client shares the pictures of the final results. We have proven record of everything. Thank you for choosing JFC Pros! Jose ****** ************

Project projected by JFC to take 4 weeks, started in early April 2023 to replace railings and decking on a farmers porch, add a ramp and repave a front walkway. Also asked to run electric to an outside car charger. It is December and the project is incomplete, we have not been able to access our front door for the past month. Weeks go by with no work- only excuses or no response. Messy, hazardous conditions just left for weeks. Avoid this company if you actually want to work with a company that communicates well, provides updates and completes the job in the estimated timeframe.

Found JFC Pros through thumbtack. With no prior contacts and no major renovations done in my house, I was hesitant, nervous and frankly scared to choose a general contractor. I did a little bit of research, went through a number of reviews, spoke to a few other contractors and finally decided to go with JFC Pros. I really appreciate the way Luiz approached and presented his idea. I hired JFC Pros for my kitchen remodeling and I must say it took little bit longer than I originally expected but was totally worth it at the end.  Luiz, Joe and the team were a phone call away, an sms away or an email away. Communication was not a problem at all. You just need to trust them and leave to the professionals when it comes to a project of this size. I am really thankful to Joe, Luiz, Laura, Lucas and all the professionals that helped me renovate and give a new look to my kitchen. 100% recommended.

Joe and his team finished our basement and did a phenomenal job. ************ inspectors were extremely picky and asked for bunch of modifications. They were very professional, calm throughout the process and did whatever was needed to satisfy their needs. We were truly appreciative that we had JFC Pros on our side as it could have been a nightmare with a different contractor. Also, a special shoutout to Russ (the project manager) who has been an absolute pleasure to work with (empathetic and very responsive). Highly recommend to anyone that is looking for a contractor.
