Where did the tow truck take my car?
Cars that are towed within city limits are taken to either the Main Impound Storage Facility located at 6700 Pulaski Highway, or a smaller holding facility at 410 Fallsway.
The majority of abandoned vehicles, scofflaw vehicles and cars that are towed as a result of an accident or police activity are taken to the Main Impound Storage Facility.
Vehicles that are illegally parked along major city gateways during peak hours (rush hour) are placed at the Fallsway lot for up to 48 hours. If the vehicle is not retrieved from the facility within 48 hours, it is then moved to the Pulaski Highway lot where storage fees may be assessed. Vehicles remaining at the Fallsway facility by the close of business each Friday will also be moved to Pulaski Highway.
If you are unclear as to where your vehicle has been stored, call either the Pulaski Highway or Fallsway facilities for assistance.
What information do I need to get my vehicle back?
In order to retrieve a vehicle from either of the impound facilities, the vehicle owner will need to provide the following:
*Proof of ownership of the vehicle, in the form of either the vehicle title or registration
*Photo identification such as a driver's license, work identification, passport or military identification
*Proper assessment of fees
Can I designate someone to claim my vehicle?
If the vehicle owner cannot be present to claim the vehicle, then the owner can designate someone on his or her behalf to retrieve the car. In addition to the items mentioned, the person retrieving the car should bring a notarized letter from the vehicle owner and a copy of owner's government issued identification permitting that person to retrieve the automobile.
What form of payment can I use to retrieve my vehicle?
Acceptable forms of payment include cash, money orders, and certified checks. A progressive service fee will be assessed when paying with debit and credit cards. No personal or business checks will be accepted!

Towing procedures during Ravens' games
Fees updated
The Baltimore City Department of Transportation today announced the new towing procedures established for the upcoming Ravens' football season. The Department of Transportation is taking a more aggressive approach to removing vehicles that are illegally parked in restricted areas. The Department of Transportation will begin impounding vehicles at the Fallsway Impound lot instead of issuing parking citations and relocating vehicles in the vicinity of M&T Stadium.
Motorists parked in violation will now be issued a $77 parking citation along with a $195 fine in towing and impoundment fees. All vehicles will be taken to the city's impound lot, located at 410 Fallsway. This facility will remain open for two hours after the end of each football game to allow motorists time to reclaim vehicles. Motorists with questions regarding the location of their vehicles can call (410) 396-4613. Please be advised that vehicles can be reclaimed from the impound lot using cash, Visa, American Express or debit card payments only. Service fees may be assessed when using credit or debit cards.
The Department of Transportation is committed to 'keeping Baltimore moving safely'. Let's work together to help deter illegal parking during the upcoming football season.
